It’s hardly surprising when you think about it, but science has confirmed that festival wristbands are basically bacteria magnets of doom.
If you’re one of the many people who likes to wear their festival wristbands like a badge of honour the whole summer long, you may want to think again.
A study by microbiology professor Dr Alison Cottell has discovered that cloth wristbands are a breeding ground for bacteria, containing more than 20 times more bacteria than clothes.
