Travelling the Mekong in style – a river cruise in Vietnam and Cambodia

The day begins early on the Mekong. We are woken at 6am by the clatter of ox carts coming to take us to a Cambodian village, the swoosh of fishermen dredging sea snails beside our ship or the chimes of xylophones drifting from a riverside Buddhist temple.

There is always so much to pack into the hours on board our 56-passenger vessel, including visiting local weavers or silversmiths, being blessed by monks, braving the streets of Phnom Penh in a rickshaw or taking a sampan to a floating market.
