This fully armed and operational battle shed offers skylight views of the galaxy with two opening roof windows, and also features a modified class 2 hyperdrive to ensure your geraniums are always in the best light.

The star of all our nightmares in the 90s. The deeply terrifying toy that – for some reason – everyone had on their Christmas list.

Yes, we’re talking about Furbies. They’re back, and this time they’re on the music scene.

Furby Living is a Tumblr created by Swedish artist William Källback Winter, who’s been quietly building up a very, very strange collection of images. Its creator takes a famous album cover and then adds in a Furby through the power of Photoshop.

Do we understand why this sick genius does this? No. But we’ve got the images burned into our mind… Read the full story

Beautiful. (Picture: & Other Stories)

This new lingerie campaign is the latest to defy outdated industry standards of beauty by proving that all types of women can be stunning.

And yes, that includes women with armpit hair.

In 2014, lingerie brand Aerie refused to airbrush models anymore and instead ‘show everything’.

Then back in April, Ashley Graham led the models of Lane Bryant’s #I’mNoAngel photo shoot, which took a swipe at Victoria Secret’s highly criticised ‘The Perfect Body’ campaign.

The force has awakened early in these ones.

Some parents know you have to teach your kids when they’re a youngling, so they can go on to be strong Jedi Knights.

Or at least teach them to become really big Star Wars fans, by dressing them up before they can walk and talk.

Which also happens to be insanely cute, as Mark Zuckerberg proved when he dressed up little Max Zuckerberg in full Jedi attire.

Christmas just went cheeky. (Picture: Getty/METRO)

Sure, turkey’s great. But we’re British. No matter the time of year, we’re always going to go for a cheeky Nando’s.

But just because we’d prefer a pitta rather than a plate of roast spuds (also great, but not quite as magnificent as a Nando’s), doesn’t mean we don’t want to get in the Christmas mood.

Thankfully, Nando’s have answered our deepest Christmas wish. We can now have a cheeky Christmas with the lads.

Presenting Nando’s cran-peri sauce. It’s like traditional cranberry sauce, but so much cheekier.

Proof that if you work hard and never give up, your dreams can become reality.

Like many of his kind, Elliot is a cat who loves to destroy boxes. It is his one passion in life. No matter how long it takes him, he will make sure than any box given to him is never seen again.

It’s just that for him, the art of box destruction is a bit of a slow burner.

You can’t rush greatness.

How certain are you that your marriage is going to last forever? Enough to put money on it?

Swanluv is a new company with a mission: getting behind true, everlasting love.

To allow soulmates to get married, Swanluv will give couples up to $10,000 (£6,700) towards their weddings – about a third of the average cost. There’s just one catch. If you get divorced, you’ll have to pay the money back – with interest.

Oh, and that interest rate? It’s based on your compatibility, determined by Swanluv’s secret love judging algorithm-based software. The stronger your relationship, the higher your interest rate.

woman dancing in covent garden inspires us

Dancing shouldn’t be all awkward shuffling and making flirty eyes at people.

These are the lessons we’re learning from this mysterious woman, who’s captured the true joy of dance while musicians play in Covent Garden.

Watch as she inspires us all. This is how to dance to classical music. This is who we should all strive to be.

In short: dancing goals.

We do not know this woman, but we’d very much like her to be our friend and mentor.

Socks… the perfect gift (Picture: Member 002/Sock Club London)

Socks used to be a terrible Christmas present.

They were, along with the knitted jumper and a deodorant set, the Holy Trinity of disappointing gifts. A useful but dull after thought.

But times have changed. The humble sock in differing shades of boredom is giving way to bright-coloured pairs, Argyle patterns, Fairisle knits, polka dots and stripes.

So what did they do to deserve such a bad rep in the first place?

‘Socks tend to have a poor reputation as they bring back memories of well-meaning aunts and uncles buying a multi-pack of cheap socks late on Christmas Eve from a reputable high street chain store,’… Read the full story

Yep. We want to be there. (Picture: Vimeo/Brett Elliot)

Feeling Christmassy yet?

One thing that will always get us in the festive mood is a load of snow. Sure, it’d be nice if it was in the UK, where we could enjoy it.

But even vicarious snow works for us. Especially if it’s a wide-spanning load of snow, next to snow topped mountains, as the location for some ice-skating.

Videographer Brett Elliot recently shared a video of his ice skating adventures through the Yukon mountains, and it’s inspiring all of our winter wanderlust.

Seriously, we’d like to move there immediately.

We want to skate gracefully through the mountainside.

You don’t have to feel alone.

A new social network is trying to bring sufferers of stress and mental illness together and ‘crowdsource wellbeing’, allowing those dealing with depression and anxiety to offer each other support and advice (H/T Refinery29).

Panoply and its sister app Koko were created by an MIT graduate called Robert Morris as part of his dissertation. They’re social networks designed for people with depression and anxiety.

The app and site are a bit like Postsecret or Yahoo Answers. You post a message about what’s bothering you, and add the worst case scenario.

11 reasons why being single at Christmas is awesome (Picture: Mmuffin for Metro) Monkia Piszcezek
Better than staying in with your other half (Picture: Mmuffin for Metro)

Christmas is a notoriously romantic time of year. A great opportunity to cosy up with someone special in front of a roaring fire and what’s not to love about Christmas Day with someone other than your parents.

However, appealing as relationships at Christmas are, there is a lot to be said for being single during the festive period.

From utilising that mistletoe to saying b***locks to it all and spending the 25th on a beach somewhere hot with nothing but a Pina Colada and good book to keep you company.

And this time, it’s festive.

We’ve had clown contouring, emoji contouring, and just generally batsh*t crazy contouring.

Now, it’s time to get in the Christmas spirit. It’s time to draw candy canes on your face with bronzer.

From the USA to New Zealand there are thousands of hot springs around the world, filled with warm waters risen from the Earth’s crust.

People have been drawn to them for centuries, in part due to their rumored healing properties.

And in part for their astonishing beauty that will make any visitor want to dive right in.

But maybe don’t always do that, some hot springs reach over 100C.

Which is a bit toasty by anyone’s standards.

It’s that time of year again, where no matter our age, our inner five year old dons a onesie and listens to Christmas music on repeat.

It seems there are some things about Christmas that never get old, no matter how old we get…

1. Advent calendars

Yes, I still get giddy at what shape my chocolate will be when I get up in the morning. Yes, I’m pushing 30. What?

2. Putting the tree up

Endless hours of entertainment that can still be found in one can of spray snow.

Jazz up your pet’s food. (Picture: Petchup/METRO)

It can feel a little sad sometimes, tucking into a massive pizza while your cat nibbles dry, entirely unappealing cat food.

Not sad enough to start picking up fresh salmon fillets from the fishmonger, obviously – because as we all know, cats are dicks and don’t deserve that much sympathy – but still.

And while sometimes we spice things up with some packs of wet food, we’d still quite like a way to make our pets’ food a little more enticing.

Answering our prayers is a company called Petchup, which makes condiments for pet food.

Yes, really.

With all the #RelationshipGoals chat on social media, it sometimes feels like the only way to be in love is to go out for fancy dinners, have drinks up in the Shard, or send your partner fresh bouquets of flowers they can share on their Instagram.

But that’s not what great relationships are really about.

Sure, romantic gestures and posh date nights are lovely now and again. But really, true love is about those small, everyday moments.

When they bring you a cup of tea, or rub your tummy for you when you’ve eaten too much. When they let you have the right… Read the full story
