She’s either the biggest troll on the planet or she genuinely believes we need these things in our lives.

Regardless, Gwyneth Paltrow never ceases to wow us with her kooky ideas. And by wow us, we mean she makes us scratch our heads in utter bewilderment and wince at the idea of shooting coffee up our bum.

Yes, Goop really did endorse that.

Goop’s latest project is bath salts, inspired by merry old England.

Gwyneth debuted the bath time staple on her treasure cove of new age remedies, Goop. But the ingredients, mustard, clay, and vinegar might make you want a shower after your soak.

The 45-year-old said on the… Read the full story

Single girls are the hottest. Fact.

14 reasons why being single in your thirties rocks

This is contrary to the popular belief that girls on their own have been left on the shelf or can’t find a boyfriend.

Hell no, being single is often proof that you’re damn hot, and it’s the very reason you haven’t settled down.

They’re prioritising themselves, their friends and their career, and they’re not going to settle for anyone who isn’t good enough for them.

Been single for a while? Here’s why you should wear it as a badge of honour.

1. Single girls aren’t desperate

You know the way you waste away Sundays by lounging in your towel doing f*** all for hours after your shower?

Well, that’s now a trend. All you need to do is get out your phone and snap a few selfies and voila, you’re pretty much an Instagram ~influencer~

Bathleisure started picking up steam as a fully-fledged trend back in November, when Rita Ora arrived at the EMAs wearing a bathrobe and a towel turban, complete with a diamond necklace and fully glammed makeup.

Then it became a proper trend when Rihanna rocked a towel on the cover of Vogue, because Rihanna has the first and last word on what’s cool.

Dreams have been analysed since we started trying to work out more about the human mind.

Freud had a lot to say on the topic, usually concluding that our dreams represented our desires in the working world. However, others simply say they’re random stories we’ve heard or memories being recounted.

The truth is somewhere in between and, while you definitely can’t predict your future or your full subconscious from dream reading, you can uncover some things.

The wellness industry has been known for spouting dubious advice.

A classic example is Goop – the online Bible of wellness and a paragon of ridiculous and occasionally downright dangerous ideas, from sticking yoni eggs in your vagina to shooting coffee up your bum.

And wellness Instagram is no better.

James Wong, a botanist and food writer has called out a ‘clean eating’ Instagrammer for posting a beautiful picture of a chia pudding, topped off with frozen berries and…toxic flowers.

The breakfast might look like your typically delightful, impossible-to-recreate IG dish, but James says that the beautiful white flowers decorating it are, in fact, poisonous.

SHOULD YOU DROP A RAW EGG INTO YOUR COFFEE? picture: Getty/metro.co.uk

Remember bulletproof coffee?

It was pretty huge for a while, with many fitness bloggers and Youtubers advocating putting a big lump of butter or coconut oil into your morning cup.

There was some truth to their claims of health and energy boosts, but only if you’re about to be burning off some of those extra calories with a workout afterwards. Plus, using a drink as a meal replacement is never advised.

We should all know by now that sleeping on dirty sheets and pillowcases can cause all kinds of havoc to our skin.

The puddle of sweat, dirt, dead skin cells, and oils left over on the pillow case after you have a snooze is not something you want getting into your pores the next night, and the next, and the next.

Unless you want to risk infection, irritation, and acne, we suppose.

But let’s be real – it’d be quite the faff to wash our pillowcase every single night. While we know we could just buy an extra set and alternate, we are deeply lazy beings and would… Read the full story

Why did the chicken cross the road?

To get to the wardrobe and put on their wooly jumpers, obviously. It’s freezing outside.

Twelve bald hens living at the Reasheath College in Nantwich, Cheshire, are staying cosy through the chilly months thanks to their very own knitted jumpers, made by students at the college.

The hens were adopted by the college from the British Hen Welfare Trust, a rehoming charity for commercial laying hens which are destined for slaughter.

Having never been outside during their previous lives as commercial egg-laying hens, the chickens didn’t develop their feathers properly, leaving them susceptible to cold weather.

Most of the hens grew feathers once they moved to… Read the full story

He now hopes to save money to get a nose job, cheek implants, and chin implants.

People are selling used toilet rolls, for some reason?

Ebay may not be as strange a place as Etsy, home of Beanie Babies with vulva and catnip-filled penises, but it can still get a bit weird.

Case in point: A bunch of people are using Ebay to sell the cardboard tubes from toilet roll. Shockingly, people are actually buying them.

The toilet roll tubes are advertised on Ebay for purposes including arts, crafts, gardening, and treats for pets (a hamster would love to crawl through that tube, right), with hundreds of listings from people keen to make a few quid from their trips to the… Read the full story

Since I’m often strapped for cash, most of these items come from websites like Missguided, Boohoo, and Pretty Little Thing. These brands offer me cool and unique garms without breaking the bank.
