But they’re a bit of a slap in the face for brunettes, who have to miserably scroll through people’s Instagrammed locks, wishing the trend didn’t require a heavy dose of bleach.
Thankfully, there’s now a trend that’s all about brunettes getting in on the unnatural colours thing: oil slick hair.
The colour trend, also known as petrol hair, relies on layering shades of blue, purple, and green, and works perfectly on darker hair. Having a brunette shade as the base means the colours don’t show up quite as bright – which is exactly the point.
