Most of the birth stories we read about in the news are about negative experiences. As a result, many mums-to-be are terrified of labour from the moment they fall pregnant.
However, these are not the only stories. Recently, TV presenter Fearne Cotton described her labour as the most ‘intense and euphoric experience ever’ after she used hypnobirthing.
These are the stories we need to read, because according to hypnobirthing practitioners, it is that fear of pain that keeps the body tense during labour and makes childbirth more difficult than it needs to be.
