Wanda, Wanda, you are so wise.
At 92-years-old Wanda B. Goines has learnt a thing or two about life.
So when the sprite pensioner from Portland, Oregon, wrote a poem about ageing, her carer Kathryn Wilson thought the world should hear it.
Posting the video on her Facebook page, Kathryn wrote: ‘This is the precious lady I am honored to care for. She wrote this poem, “The Gift-Wrap & The Jewel” be blessed.’
The emotional recital is utterly adorable, and in our youth-obsessed society where, ironically, the only certainty is that we’re all getting older, it certainly provides food for thought.
