At two months old, Bella the miniature donkey was separated from her mother by a negligent breeder. She was severely underweight and had developed frostbite in her leg – which would have to be amputated as a result.
Not a great start to life.
But luckily for Bella, a couple near Minneapolis came along. They decided to rescue Bella, and kept her alive even when vets advised them to have her put down.
