Turns out, wombats are a lot like us. They’re a little bit lazy and prefer to just loll around in the sunshine.
But, in an attempt to shed a few pounds before the Australian summer, the wombats at Queensland’s Rockhampton Zoo have put themselves on an intensive exercise regime.
Well, wombat-level intensive.
The zookeepers have been taking the overweight wombats for walks on leads, like dogs, to help them trim down during the winter.
And, apparently, they’re loving it.
