Masala the red panda has escaped from the zoo
Very, very bad news for anyone who loves small fluffy animals: Masala the red panda is missing.
Masala escaped from her home at Sequoia Park Zoo in Eureka, California at some time between 11am and 2pm on Thursday. Zoo staff and authorities are still searching for her today.
Zoo manager Gretchen Ziegler says it isn’t clear how Masala managed to escape. Red pandas aren’t great at jumping, so it seems unlikely that she jumped over the wall. Zoo staff say there aren’t any new holes in the fence, either.
The last unconfirmed sighting of Masala was at 3am in the local neighbourhood. Members of the public have… Read the full story

Parents are not happy with this toy that attacks children’s hair
Bunchems. Catchy name. Even catchier when they’re bunched up in your hair.
Bunchems are a new type of toy kids can squish and click together to create things. According to Toys R Us, ‘the possibilities are endless.’
One of those many possibilities is the possibility that you’ll have to take a pair of scissors to your kid’s hair. FUN FOR ALL THE FAMILY.
Yep. Because according to many not very happy parents, there’s a major flaw with those sticky balls: if they go anywhere near long hair, they get wedged in and cause… Read the full story

She told NY1: ‘When I saw this toy store I just realised I could just… Read the full story
This company lets you design your own temporary tattoos
We’ve been a tiny bit obsessed with temporary tattoos since they first came back into fashion.
But while we loved sticking gold arrows and pretend bracelets all over ourselves, there was one thing lacking from our attempt to replicate real tattoos without the pain and lifelong commitment: being able to personalise a temporary tatt so it’s just for us.
So rejoice, temporary tattoo fans: Flash Tattoo has just introduced a new ‘Custom Studio’, which allows you to make your tatts feel a bit more, well, you.
Option one: personalised flash tattoos, with your choice of text added.

This dog has been trained to deliver wine and we love him
He’s not a dog, he’s a god.
They say dogs are a man’s best friend, but until recently we really thought they were exaggerating.
Yes they will protect our homes and stay with us if we fall down a creek in the middle of nowhere, but everyone knows the true definition of a best friend is someone who brings you a bottle of wine after a long, hard day.
And that is exactly what this dog has been trained to do.
Naughty pug trashes the kitchen then hides in a bin
You know when someone does something bad so well, you’re too impressed to be mad?
This guy does.
YouTuber Viva Frei came home to find his kitchen trashed and covered in compost. He knew there could only be one person responsible: his pug, known compost thief.
He prepared to give him a good telling off, and set about tracking down the miscreant.
He checked all the cupboards, and there he was. Hiding in a bin like the criminal mastermind he is.
Says Viva: ‘When I found him, I was too impressed to be mad.’
Totally his plan all along. Bravo, pug. You… Read the full story

This is what happened when a woman sent men unsolicited vagina pics on a dating app
Warning: NSFW. Obvs.
Most women who’ve tried online dating will have, at some point, been sent an unsolicited picture of a stranger’s penis.
Despite the fact that very few women actually like receiving dick pics (and therefore, presumably, the men sending them get 0 sex), this doesn’t seem to have deterred guys from sending them.
But LA-based writer Kerry Quinn had an idea; what if she sent men unsolicited vagina pics? Wouldn’t that be a great way to teach them a lesson?

We just can’t stop watching Charlie the kitten’s bedtime routine
Cosy.
What’s your bedtime routine?
Well whatever your answer we can guarantee it’s not nearly as cute and cosy as Charlie the kittens.
In a nine-second vine (which we’ve watched approximately 852 times), you see tiny Charlie prepare for Bedfordshire in adorable style.
His routine sticks to the classic combination of bubble bath, milk, story time, and we think, proves why it’s such a winning nighttime combo.
So yes, we could get all dolled up tonight and hit a club, but after watching Charlie’s bedtime routine we think we’re gonna have to opt for a cosy night in.

Why Kyoto not Beijing or Hanoi should be your next Far East holiday
Visiting Kyoto is like stepping back in time.
With its spectacularly ornate temples, gorgeous Zen gardens and immaculately preserved architecture, it’s a city still firmly anchored to Japan’s old customs and traditions.
Like the geishas that you see walking gazelle-like down the streets of downtown Gion in their colourful kimonos and elaborate hairstyles, it’s a bewitching mixture of outrageous beauty and understated charm.
A short two hour forty minute bullet train ride away from Tokyo, it’s smaller and more manageable than the sprawling capital.

You cannot be trusted to remember anything
So you must continue to write every single solitary thing down. In case you forget something world-ending.
Everyone is staring at you. And judging you
You’ve worn something new to work, you’ve tried that new hairstyle, and everyone has noticed. And not in a good way.
Is your grandmother not picking up the phone? Best go out and buy something black
Because she’s not just at her Bridge Club. Or pottering round in the garden like she does every afternoon.
