We don’t think Declan Higgins will be getting a job as a police E-Fit artist anytime soon. But that’s part of his charm.

Declan is the Belfast-based ‘artist’ behind the Crap Portraits Twitter account. It’s a fairly simple concept. Declan sketches a famous face and then asks his followers to guess who it is.

As the handle suggests, he’s pretty crap at drawing. In his own words, he’s not ‘intentionally crap, just talentless’. But, as we always say, never let a lack of talent get in the way of your dreams.

Twitter made this cuteness happen (Picture: Princess Clara/Twitter)

As emotional blackmail goes, this is pretty smart.

Back in March, 17-year-old Clara Foster from Houston was struggling to convince her dad to allow her to have the puppy she so desperately wanted.

She had only recently said goodbye to her beloved 13-year-old springer spaniel Fuchsia, who sadly had to be put down.

Then, her cousin’s dog had a litter of puppies and she fell in love with a little black and white pup called Olly.

So, being the enterprising teen she is, she texted her dad Tony Foster, a professor at Lone Star College in Kingwood, with a proposal that would harness the power of social media for… Read the full story

If you’re thinking about getting a tattoo but aren’t totally sure what you want, it’s wise to do some research first.

A lot of people dislike their first ink, and dismiss it later as being ‘just my first tattoo’ – meaning it’s okay, but it’s not as great as the others they went on to get.

It is possible to get something you really love first time though – and it helps not to get inked on impulse. Trust me, you know when you love a design.

If you’re sat in the chair thinking, ‘Oh god, do I get it?’ after a snap decision to have a tattoo, then the obvious answer is no.

While you should never just copy someone else’s design exactly – because many designs are custom, and it would absolutely suck to see someone with a tattoo that was originally drawn for you only – there’s no harm in using them for inspiration.

Milhouse = the best only child ever.

Being an only child is the best thing ever. Fact.

Growing up you were always a tad confused at the slight sympathy you would receive when people discovered that you were an only child. Because as far as you were concerned, you were having an absolute whale of a time.

Being an only child meant no sharing, total adoration, and not having to hide your chocolate from anyone. What could be so bad about that?

1. No sharing

You always heard about the trials and tribulations your friends and cousins went through when they had to share every single thing that they owned with their siblings. And… Read the full story

Man looking for threesome accidentally texts wrong number, leads to seriously weird conversation

One Irish personal trainer was left feeling pretty confused when he (allegedly) received a text from a random stranger addressing him as ‘big boy‘.

23-year-old PT Bill Walsh – who says he is currently in a loving relationship – was enjoying a perfectly normal afternoon when he received a surprising text from someone who had accidentally messaged the wrong number in response to a Craigslist advertisement they’d seen.

But, instead of addressing the fact there had been a wrong number situation and getting on with the rest of their day, the pair enjoyed a somewhat in-depth chat.

In the process, Bill found out that this particular stranger had been scrolling through Craiglist in search of a threesome.

Bill apparently had no idea what Craigslist even was.

Endless opportunities for orgasm for just a single pound? Sign us up!

Poundland have gone into the sex toy market as it was revealed on Channel 4’s controversial show Sex Box that the discount chain sell vibrators for – you guessed it – a pound.

Called a bullet, the vibrator also comes with wet wipes and gel, making it the biggest bargain in the sex world. They have been sold in some stores since 2015 but the chain recently expanded their range to go out in more of the outlets. Sorry, Ann Summers, but Poundland may be the new one stop shop for those who just want a standard vibrator.

Turin is often described as one of Italy’s overlooked cities.

Tucked away in the mountains, it’s out of sight and out of minds for many tourists.

The city offers just as wonderful food and wine and cultural sights as the rest of the country, but without quite as many elbows to wrestle.

Rome is frantic, Venice is sinking – but Turin is a lovely option for your next escape.

Happy Mahavir Jayanti!

It’s the most religious festival in Jainism, an ancient Indian religion that teaches non-violence and celebrates an eternal universe rather than a particular god or gods.

But do you know why this festival is celebrated?

Kylie’s ‘unique’ festival style isn’t as original as it first seemed (Picture: Kyliejenner/Instagram)

Kylie Jenner’s Coachella wardrobe was probably the most eye-catching of the weekend. Quite literally.

On Saturday, she Instagrammed several shots of her wearing an evil eye sequinned Discount Universe bikini and sporting long rainbow-coloured braids.

We’re not ashamed to say, we’re totally lusting after those rainbow plaits for festival season – even if it won’t be quite the same when we’re tramping through six inches of mud in our Hunters and hoodie at V Festival.

And it looks like we’re not the only ones who trawl Instagram for our festival wardrobe inspiration.

What big brands' websites looked like in the 90s
We’re not loving it (Picture: McDonald’s)

When you stop to think about just how far we’ve come in the last twenty years, it’s pretty mind-boggling.

The World Wide Web was still in its infancy, most us still didn’t have an email address, and some of Leonardo DiCaprio’s future girlfriends were still in Pampers.

In the late nineties, some of the today’s biggest – and slickest – global brands were still trying to work out the whole ‘online’ thing.

It’s hard to believe Apple was ever anything but the minimal, sleek, powerhouse that it is today, but check out their homepage from 1998 and you realise we’ve come… Read the full story

Get this in our mouths. (Picture: Instagram/t0pherliu)

We get that Coachella must be very exciting for music fans who also enjoy walking around in a hot desert.

We understand. It’s a great chance to wear a flower crown and some sort of floaty kimono. It’s all very exciting. But you will probably never catch us going, because Coachella is also a load of effort.

There’s all the walking. There’s the heat. There’s the pressure to look like a festival goddess despite the heat and the walking. It’s expensive and we really can’t be bothered. We’ll just wear our perfect floaty outfit around London, thanks.

But there is one thing that’s almost convinced us that… Read the full story

There’s many things we can rely on our dads for.

Such as being our shoulder to cry on when we’re broken-hearted, when we’re desperately in need of some money or if we need a late night taxi.

Sure, it sounds a little like we’re using them – but they sort of owe us considering they have a seriously awesome child. Especially when your sibling is nowhere near as awesome.

One thing you should probably steer clear of – if you’re a woman, that is – is asking your dad to buy you any sort of sanitary product.

The Queen turns 90 on April 21st (Picture: Getty)

Most of us have only known Her Maj as a grey-haired gran who can rock a pastel skirt suit and has a natty line in matching umbrellas.

We might think a soon-to-be 90-year-old posh lady, who comes out of her castle occasionally to shake hands with randoms, is pretty irrelevant to our day to day lives.

But, ahead of her milestone birthday on Thursday, a new website called Keeping Up With The Queen is here to remind us that The Queen has seen and done more things than we could ever dream of.
