For when placing two dogs in front of a plate of spaghetti and yelling at them to adorably nudge the meatballs with their noses isn’t quite working out for you, there’s now a special restaurant just for dogs.

No more endlessly preparing meatballs by hand in an attempt to get JUST ONE cute dog-eating-food picture while sobbing about how very, very single you are. Rejoice.

Pedigree dog parlour Pet Pavilion has teamed up with Chelsea-based restaurant Bluebird to create the Bites and Bones Brunch.

Yep, it’s a brunch. For dogs.

Would you raise your kids technology free? (Picture: Niki Boon Photography)

We all like to imagine that when we have kids, we’ll be really strict and only let them watch TV for half an hour a week. We tell ourselves that our kids will have wild imaginations and love books.

Then we actually have kids, realise that they’re bloody exhausting, and sit them down in front of the electronic babysitter so we can get some damn rest.

In short: raising children technology-free is seeming like a less realistic option every day, especially with the prevalence of social media and babies with iPhones.

10 reasons that the disgusting horrors that are avocados need to be culled from life

Avocadoes are disgusting and need to be culled. Credit: Getty Images/Metro

A while ago, the emperor overlord of avocados launched a bid to take over the world – and he and his army of pale, green, snot-like orbs of blandness were successful in taking their place as the most unjustifiably hailed kings of fruit.

As a result, you can’t move for photo galleries of the stuff or hipsters trying to force it spread on toast and sprinkled with paprika down your throat.

As my colleague correctly highlighted last year, avocados are a plague on society and she called for them to be banned before they turned society into a bigger mush than… Read the full story

A cheeky wine cellar would be great. (Picture: Getty)

Chances are that you’re probably furiously trying to save money by scraping together pennies, coupons and hiding in the train toilets in a bid to get your own place.

But just because you don’t have a few hundred thousand knocking about to buy your own home, it doesn’t mean that you can’t dream.

Getting a place of your own is of course the ultimate goal, but you’d also love to have a few cheeky extras thrown it.

Nothing too fancy, just a bog standard swimming pool and wine cellar of course.

Maintaining eye contact might be tricky (Picture: casual_observr/Reddit)

The big corner office with a view has always been seen as the ultimate goal for corporate go-getters.

Sadly, most of us spend our lives in windowless open-plan offices.

Not this New York worker though – they have their own office and a view that definitely packs a punch.

Redditor casual_observr recently shared a picture taken from their office with the caption: ‘I was told the office had a great view’.

And it’s fair to say most of Reddit agreed. As one person wrote: ‘It’s the whole package.’

Good luck to anyone trying to maintain eye contact during a meeting on those red chairs.

Try to remain calm at this difficult time.

Just as we start to enter the warmer months, and our minds turn to warm sunny evenings supping glasses of light, frothy Italian fizz, experts have issued dire warnings about Prosecco supplies.

Figures published in The Grocer have revealed that Brits drank more than 40 million litres of the Italian sparkling wine last year. Sales of Prosecco rose 37 per cent to £365 million, which is eight times the amount we were buying in 2012.

We were thirsty, okay?

The problem is, Prosecco can only be produced in nine provinces in Italy and demand is overtaking supply. In… Read the full story

Yum? (Picture: hkfoodiexblogger/Instagram)

A cafe in Hong Kong is now doing rainbow cheese toasties – as in pink, blue, yellow and green melted cheese.

Because if our food isn’t bursting with rainbows these days, we’re just not interested.

The surreal toastie is the work of Kala Toast in Hong Kong and has become Insta-famous thanks to the hkfoodiexblogger account, which has been sharing pictures of the golden toasted sandwiches oozing with melted rainbow cheese, also known in some parts of the internet as unicorn toasties.

They’ve also, helpfully, provided a review so we can all share in the magic.

beyonce drunk in love

She isn’t called Queen B for nothing.

As if taking over the musical world wasn’t enough, Beyoncé is now your number one sportswear designer, with her new Ivy Park range launching at Topshop.

Beyoncé is officially supreme overlord of the Universe, and as a result you should respect and fear her ability to change your life at any given moment.

The hardcore fans among us always knew that she was the magical force behind the greatest girl group of all time, Destiny’s Child, and therefore it came at no surprise when she branched out and managed to slay all of pop culture with her music.

Here are our favourite moments of when Beyoncé blessed us and changed our lives.

Let’s face it, a majority of us spend our lives in constant fear that we’ll be asleep, have no phone battery or be in a place with no internet connection when Bey drops a whole new… Read the full story

It can be hard reaching out to your kids when all they want to do is play video games all day.

But, this dad has found the perfect solution.

He leaves his son helpful parenting advice on Minecraft.

For those who don’t know much about Minecraft, it’s highly addictive and involves building things out of cubes in an alternate generated universe.

You might think you’d be safe from your parents’ nagging there, but apparently not.

Redditor  shared screengrabs from his recent Minecraft session online recently, writing: ‘My dad likes to leave me messages in his Minecraft server.’

fries

On a giant plot in a corner of St. Joseph, Missouri, McDonald’s is quietly building its restaurant of the future.

Earlier this month, St. Joseph franchise owner Chris Habiger held a press conference to outline plans for his mega 6,500-square-foot McDonald’s, which is set to open on July 8.

The McDonald’s of the future will have comfy sofas, light up tables with tabletop video games, indoor slides for the kids in a dedicated play area, and a private party room.

It will also have the touch screens that have popped up already in many McDonald’s around the world, allowing you to fully customise your burger.

Oh, and did we mention there will be all-you-can-eat fries?

Despite allowing self-ordering, the branch still plans to recruit 85 staff, giving an idea of the sheer scale of this operation.

‘Today’s customers seek a comfortable and inviting atmosphere,’ Harbiger told the St Joseph press. ‘So we’re committed to providing a modern look and feel… Read the full story

Taking a trip down memory lane is always hard, because it involves monstrosities such as kitten heels and trucker hats.

It’s a well known fact that fashion nowadays (anything post 2011) is easy to get right.

Chuck on a pair of leggings, flat shoes and some form of black slouchy top and you’re on to a winner.

In fact, you could safely pop that up on Instagram tagged #OOTD and get double digit likes easily.

But it’s not always been so easy, and along the way you’ve definitely endorsed some seriously questionable looks.

Here’s 15 fashion crimes we’ve all committed.

Alopecia is an autoimmune condition which causes your hair to fall out.

This isn’t necessarily just restricted to the hair on your head – it can also mean your body hair too.

I have Alopecia Universalis, which means that I don’t have a single hair on my body, and I have had it since I was 8 years old.

It is the rarest and most severe of all the forms.

Here are 14 things you only know if you have Alopecia.

1. You are always cold

Our body didn’t build its hair system for vanity, hair is there for a purpose and it’s difficult to regulate your body temperature without it.

Gendered earplugs
Finally, women can wear earplugs that won’t hurt their delicate ears (Picture: PateraQuetza/Twitter)

Up until now, women’s lives have been one, long sleepless night.

We’ve had to suffer through long, noisy flights without any way of protecting our ears.

Because women can’t possibly use the same earplugs men use. We can only wear pink things that are suitable for our delicate lady ears.

It’s not like ear plugs are designed to mould to the shape and size of any ear or anything, is it?

But, finally, women can lead a life free from noise pollution, because earplugs for girls exist!

The world was alerted to the existence of gendered earplugs over the weekend by Twitter user Read the full story

My bearded dragon, Blixa (Picture: Violet Fenn)

With his scaly skin and beady eyes, you could be forgiven for thinking that my beloved lizard Blixa makes an unlikely pet.

He doesn’t exactly look cuddly, after all.

But lizards can be lovable, affectionate companions.

So long as you provide them with their basic needs – housed in a good sized vivarium with heat and UV light – they can live for many years as an entertaining addition to your household.

Blixa is a bearded dragon, which is probably the most well known species of pet lizard in the UK.

But chameleons and other reptiles can also make great family pets. Here are a few reasons why.

For the last four years, dad James Breakwell has been sharing daily observations about life with his very sassy brood via the Exploding Unicorn Twitter account

And it’s hilarious. But, then, he is a comedy writer.

James and his wife have four young daughters – the eldest is five-years-old – so life is pretty hectic chez Breakwell.

His Twitter feed, which has 324,000 followers, is full of the girls’ brilliant backchat, awkward questions and the myriad everyday terrors that come with parenthood.

Much of its charm comes from the random, off-the-cuff conversations:

Sean Green has spoken out about how his life has changed since getting the lower half of his face tattooed.

Although the 26-year-old has had a bold, black, geometric pattern tattooed from his left cheek to the right, he insists that when he looks in the mirror, he ‘doesn’t even see the tattoos’.

Helen Mirren wants a sleeve of tattoos because she’s ‘getting older’ and doesn’t care

He also feels that this may also be the reason he wants to get more and more ink, as each added inking soon becomes invisible to him when he looks at himself daily.
