If you’re sick of your acne and dream of having a smooth, peachy complexion like your mates, then here’s some great news for you.

The envy tables might be about to turn because scientists have found that those of us who’ve had acne in our younger years show fewer signs of aging later on than those with clear complexions.

And that anti-aging doesn’t just apply to the face, but to the whole body.

Introducing SOS Viagra sausages – containing native breed pork, along with L’Arginine, Horny Goat Weed and Korean, Red Chinese & Siberian Ginseng – all of which are said to help with erectile dysfunction.

The natural Viagra sausages went on sale today in packs of six and are the brainchild of founder of Fathers4Justice Matt O’Connor. Bear with us – there is a good reason.

The sausages have been launched as part of a men’s health campaign, to raise awareness of serious health issues affecting men that don’t often get talked about – including depression, suicide and low testosterone.

Imagine if politicians were sandwiches.

David Cameron would obviously be a hog roast bap.

Political candidate sandwiches should be a standard part of any election process. They could well hold the power to change our decisions.

One bad filling and that’s a career up in smoke.

So, The Harlem Cafe in Belfast has taken things into their own hands and decided to create a US presidential election special. By creating the ‘Trump sandwich’.

It’s a baloney white bread sandwich, with lashings of Russian dressing and a small pickle.

It’s well known that bars give free salty snacks to make you drink more alcohol. One of my favourite drink snacks is the pretzel, shaped to represent the crossed arms of children in prayer.

I like all pretzels, thin and crispy or fat and soft.  The German beer festival ‘Oktoberfest’ is held this year from September 17th to October 3rd so this is the last week to indulge in the tradition of beer with pretzels.

I remember as a child visiting a German beer garden in Munich, stunned by the sheer quantity of empty ‘steins’, the tall ceramic beer tankards crowded on tables. Any decent beer garden, if they… Read the full story

Welcome to the house of fun (Picture: Channel 4)

I was obsessed with secret passageways and hidden rooms as a kid. I literally spent three weeks sat in an oversized cupboard in my room working out how I was going to decorate it.

So, I basically want this couple to adopt me.

Architects Matt and Sophie White just created a luxury fun house for them and their three children – Daisy, Mia and Arthur – which features hidden tunnels, secret rooms, a pivoting bath, a revolving ‘Scooby Doo’ door with a bookcase in the back, and fireman’s poles, if you don’t fancy using the stairs.

The couple, who featured on this week’s Grand Designs, bought a… Read the full story

THOSE HUES THOUGH. (Image: Twitter/_marisa_hopkins)

The first time we saw Palm Vaults pop up on our Instagram feed, we thought we’d been transported to a real-life version of that bit of our brain that’s reserved for daydreaming about life as a Miami girl in the 70s.

But looky here, it’s real. Right slap bang in the middle of East London’s borough of Hackney.

The cute little café has a small plant-based menu which changes every week depending on what they can get hold of – currently you’re looking at the likes of chia puddings and coconut yoghurt for breakfast and black rice salad and the classic avocado toast for lunch. If you’re a dairy fiend, there’s veggie… Read the full story

Your parents, career advisers and teachers all said to study law or finance if you wanted to earn big bucks.

You chose geology.

They all laughed and wrote you off as a maverick who’d end up eating cold baked beans in a squalid apartment after a long day down at the dig.

But they were so wrong.

New figures have revealed that geologists at Imperial College London are the top earners when it comes to graduate salaries.

Very occasionally the Internet throws up something so magical that it restores your faith in humanity, creativity and god.

Today is one of those days.

The Pen Pineapple Apple Pen song is beautifully bonkers and completely genius (IMO).

No one gets it. No one needs to get it. That’s the great thing about it.

The masterpiece is the brainchild of singer-songwriter Piko-Taro, who has written an entire song about merging an a pen, an apple and a pineapple, thus forming a Pen Pineapple Apple Pen, or PPAP.

Facial hair can be powerful stuff.

It can transform a spotty, baby-faced teenager into an attractive, mature-looking man in an instant.

And guys often look completely different when they decide to shed their beards.

So it’s unsurprising that a baby didn’t recognise her own dad when he got rid of his facial foliage.

Seven-month-old Anistyn Claire was playing peekaboo with dad JC just before he shaved – laughing and loving every minute of him peeking out from behind a blanket.

Inspiring.

In America, homecoming seems to have become as over-hyped as prom, with teenagers staging increasingly elaborate stunts to get someone to go to the high school dance with them.

They will then put it straight on social media (because if it’s not on social media, did it even really happen?) in the hope of getting on the Ellen show or something.

But 18-year-old Joe LaRue, 18, from Ohio, just couldn’t really be bothered with all the fuss and nonsense.

Vegan cheese is a funny one. I’ve had great vegan cheese (hi Mildreds) but I’ve also had horrendous vegan cheese. That tasted like solidified sick. And left my kitchen smelling like a rotten feet for three days when I cooked it into a pasta dish.

So I tend to avoid it.

But when Sainsbury’s sent us their brand new milk-free cheeses from their Deliciously Freefrom range, I decided to give them a go, as I was hungry and to be honest, I’m not one to turn down free food.

So pretty (Picture: Austmov/Imgur)

Why is it that you only get asked to take your shoes off when you’re wearing your dodgiest mismatched socks?

Oh, who are we kidding? We never manage to match our socks.

Clearly, our sock game is not as good as this guy’s.

Redditor Austmov, a construction worker from Massachusetts, explained that he was called out yesterday to give a quote on a job, when the client asked him to remove his work boots while inside the property (the floors weren’t covered).

As he was taking the boots off, he remembered the socks he’d put on that morning.

While siblings may fight, they’re always sure to have each other’s backs.

23-year-old Lisa White, from Nebraska, proved this beautifully after coming to her 16-year-old brother’s time of need when he discovered he didn’t have anything to wear to his first homecoming dance.

As her brother, Cody, had never been to a formal dance before, he didn’t have anything appropriate to wear and, as his girlfriend had already bought her outfit, he was left worrying about how he was going to compare.

And that’s when his big sister came to the rescue.

Okay, some of you might be out there screaming at your screens ‘how have you only just realised?!’ – this is not for you. Well done, you can take the rest of the day off.

But, we’re betting some of you are in the same boat as us and never even noticed that little open pot on the back of beauty product labels.

Because, like us, you probably don’t spend that much time looking at the label on your foundation, or your hair wax, or your deodorant.

You’re too busy trying to cool your sweating pits, calm your cowlick down, or just generally admiring the packaging.

This girl got so drunk that she started messaging Gatwick Airport

Most of us get the fear when checking our phones after a heavy night out.

Why? Because for some reason, many of us like to text our exes something that we will totally regret when sober.

So, we can all imagine the fear Annie felt when picking up her phone one very hungover morning.

But it turned out, that morning was the same morning that Annie realised she was different to everyone else – and that her drunken thought process was very, er, unique.

Because, while she had sent out a drunken message – she hadn’t sent it to an ex.

No, instead, she’d sent it to Gatwick Airport. Seriously.

Every teacher appreciates an honest student and one pupil has taken it upon themselves to be as honest as they can be.

Boy didn't have a date for homecoming, so asked himself instead (he said yes!)

No, he didn’t own up to cheating on a test,  he actually owned up to accidentally dropping some snot on his test paper.

Wanting to warn his teacher away from it, he thoughtfully circled the snot stain to let them know exactly what it was and why it was there.

Warning their teacher not to touch, the student managed to circle the stain and even told their teacher where it had come from… no, they didn’t leave anything to the imagination.

A picture of the stain was posted to Reddit by a friend of the teacher’s, who received the… Read the full story

People are claiming that this strange Japanese eel advert is really sexist

Imagine if you were an advert executive, given the task of promoting local eel farming.

Random, sure.

But you’d probably take on the task enthusiastically, getting some nice shots of happy-looking eels swimming in their nice lakes.

And maybe you’d finish with a few mouth-watering seconds of the cooked product (less happy-looking eels).

But one Japanese advertiser decided to take a completely different creative route.

And now their ‘unusual’ campaign has been scrapped after the internet accused it of sexism.

Science says you should be drinking lots of water and a banana to replace your potassium.
