At the risk of oversharing, I can remember quite vividly the first time I went to the toilet after my children were born.

5 bad habits that it’s only okay to do in front of other parents

And I’m not talking number ones here.

It was a very scary time because you just don’t know what has gone on down there.

I mean, sure, you can gingerly poke about, have a little squeeze of the pelvic floor muscles.

But in the back of your mind is still the image of going to the toilet and your insides just exploding out of you into the… Read the full story

Why are we Brits so hung up on nudity?

It’s a long-held cultural stereotype that British people are prudish about nudity.

I’m not talking about sex here – I’m pretty sure Brits are just as horny as anyone else. I’m talking about casual, non-sexual nudity. Changing room nudity. Sauna nudity. Naked sunbathing.

I went to a naturist beach for the first time and this is what it was like

Body confidence coach Judi Craddock, of Heart Your Body, says that a fear of nudity essentially boils down to one main cause. ‘What people fear most about getting naked around other people is that their bodies will be judged.

‘This comes from a belief that somehow your body doesn’t measure up, and that other people will think the same thing. You effectively project your feelings about your body onto others.’

So far, so natural. But do Brits do it more than most?

We all love a snazzy pair of hoop earrings. And likewise, rounded glasses are always a win.

ASOS released glasses with hoop earrings attached and we're a bit confused

But putting the pair together? And when we say ‘together’ we mean actually physically joined? No, thank you.

Apparently, ASOS don’t agree with us there. They’ve recently released a pair of glasses that come complete with a pair of hoop earrings.

The ASOS Round Geeky Glasses with Clear Lens & Hoop Earrings, which cost £16, are a fashion blogger’s worst nightmare.

Dogs are amazing.

What it's like to live with compulsive skin picking disorder

They’re loving, they’re loyal, and they’re great fun. Which means that we, as dog-lovers, must do our best to love and protect them – no matter where they come from.

One person making the above statement loud and clear is 19-year-old Cheyenne Halsey, who recently quoted a tweet reading ‘Speak tf up for what you believe in’, with: ‘QUIT BUYING $2500 DOGS FROM PET STORES WHEN THERE ARE $60 DOGS IN SHELTERS THAT NEED HOMES AND ARE BEING EUTHANIZED’.

Are we really doing our best as feminists? (Picture: Deirdre Spain)

I’m bored.

I know we’re not supposed to say this, and I’m probably betraying the sisterhood, but I can’t help feeling that feminism – especially online feminism – is stuck in a bit of a cycle. A cycle that I’m getting tired of.

***FEE FOR REUSE***Should feminists stop shaming men on the internet?

Here is how the cycle goes:

A man says or does something stupid. Sometimes it’s only very gently inadvisable (wearing a shirt with naked women on it for a press conference). Sometimes it’s very solidly stupid (claiming that women can’t… Read the full story

When you get married, people like to make jokes about how your sex life is going to be over forever.

It’s not true, of course. Your sex life isn’t affected by getting married. But it is affected by getting older, becoming too comfortable with your partner and not making so much of an effort.

A £10 bottle of Aldi gin has been judged one of the best in the world, beating rivals more than four times the price.

The Oliver Cromwell London Dry Gin, with a modest pricetag of £9.97, might seem destined to be drowned in mixers judging from the cost.

But it came away with Gold at the International Wine and Spirits Challenge, judged by blind taste tests.

The discount offering beat competition from Foxhole London Dry Gin, a premium ‘fresh and aromatic gin’ which retails at £39.95, and was awarded a silver award.
