Teenager Luis Torres was fed up of the dictionary’s narrow definition of the word ‘nude’. So he changed it.

Until now, the Merriam-Webster dictionary has defined ‘nude’ as – in addition to the standard ‘having no clothes on’ – ‘having the colour of a white person’s skin’, conforming to the narrow stereotypes of nude as a colour matching only certain types of skin (makeup and underwear companies, we’re looking at you).

A lot of people weren’t pleased with this, because seriously, nude is a state of being (ie. naked), not a colour specific to white skin.

Here’s how to live ’til age 130, if you were wondering.

Kazim Gürbüz is a 95-year-old yogi from Turkey, who says everyone can live to 130. You’ve just got to apply your mind.

Kazim credits his long term health and youthful appearance to keeping nice and bendy through daily yoga, sun salutations, and a special superfood-rich diet.

The yoga expert started living his super healthy lifestyle after he broke his back at age 41. He was left paralysed from the waist down, and told he would not walk again.

This struggle, or should we say snuggle, is real.

There are no two words more distressing for a bookworm at the end of a great book than ‘The End’. As this adorable little scholar has learnt.

A video called ‘The saddest bookworm’, which shows a young mum reading to her son, was uploaded to YouTube yesterday and has already had 33,000 views.

Your mum was right. The best thing is to be yourself, in all your weird, unconventional glory.

Being weird – or ‘noncomformist’, in fancier terms – makes you more attractive to the opposite sex, a study in the Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin reports.

Researchers studied people who identified as heterosexual or bisexual, asking them to select people from online dating websites, describe their ideal partners and picture dates with people they had just met.

They found that both men and women showed a preference for partners who didn’t conform, through clothing, life decisions or opinions.

I’m going to get right to the point here: I suffer from anxiety.

My heart’s racing at the thought of writing this article.

Spiritual healer Dorina Rosin and husband Maika Suneagle, from Hawaii, are planning a water birth with a difference.

The couple, who star in Katie Piper’s new Channel 4 documentary Extraordinary Births documentary, are planning to have their baby in the ocean, with the help of a midwife, who happens to be a dolphin.

Okay, so we’re saying goodbye to sunshine.

But let’s just take a moment to get real. That’s pretty much the only (semi) good thing about summer.

Summer is terrible. It sucks. It’s the worst season and we should all be glad it’s finally drawing to a close. Here are just 24 reasons why:

1. No more excessive, gross sweat

Bra-imprisoned breasts, rejoice.

2.  It’s now perfectly acceptable to stay in and do nothing

Say no to that ‘but it’s such a nice day outside’ nonsense.

America has woken up today to the news that they are getting McDonald’s breakfast all day, err’day from October 6.

That’s 24 hour hash browns.

The announcement was made with very little fanfare – via a reply to a tweet sent by customer and McMuffin lover Jim Halligan in January 2008. He wrote: ‘If I was president, I would force mickey D’s to serve breakfast all day.’
