Marnie from Girls Alison Williams being inside my own head is exhausting anxiety gif

People with anxiety aren’t a super-sensitive separate species. But, there are a few things you should probably know.

Mostly, we just want you to stay calm, be there for us when we need it, and always be open to talking stuff out. To be the best person ever when dating someone with anxiety, here’s some stuff it’s worth being aware of.

1. Never, ever call us ‘crazy’

Kind of tapping into our biggest insecurity there, buddy.

2. Sometimes, being logical isn’t the best thing

Deep down, we KNOW that we’re not going to get fired because of that stupid thing we said to our boss. But just let us rant for a bit.

3. But, other times, we do need a hit of rational thinking

If we’re getting carried away with ridiculous potential outcomes, we’ll appreciate you stepping in and reminding us that getting… Read the full story

When you make a bet and lose that bet, you’ve got to suck it up and take the forfeit like a champ.

And that’s exactly what Reddit user Hansel34 did when he got thrashed by his cousin in a push-up competition.

‘In the beginning of the school year as motivation for school/fitness, my cousin and I decided to have a GPA/push-up bet,’ Hansel said in the caption for his post titled ‘Lost a bet with my cousin, this is the result’.

‘She ended up getting a 4.0 across the board, which I wasn’t even close too [sic]’.

‘The winner could do whatever they wanted to the other person’s hair, she definitely was pretty kind with it!’ says Hansel.

Oh hey you

You think their name is Paula or Pauline. But it could be Greg so better not take any chances.

When I was 12 I tried to overdose for the first time.

I left my childminder downstairs and I walked up to the bathroom.

I found a pack of pills, checked the dosage on the back and then made sure I popped each and every one – several times the maximum amount.

Then I panicked.

Not because I was worried about dying, but because I was worried for the consequences if I didn’t succeed. My life would surely be worse.

By the time I was taken to hospital, it was too late to have my stomach pumped so I had to drink charcoal to absorb the toxins from my system.

When my mum got to the hospital she asked me why I did it.

Welcome to our new favourite meme: Derploma Guy.

Isn’t the internet a wonderful place?

The internet couldn’t decide if he was the most adorable thing they’d ever seen, or an evil genius with a plan.

‘I’m cutened by him. I wanna hug him. If anyone ever hurts him, I’ll kill them,’ writes one user. Another added: ‘Phase one of your plans for world domination are complete.’

Thus a glorious new internet meme was born.

A regular sight (and smell) in Norfolk (Picture: Flickr/Jayp0d)

Norfolk is a spectacular part of the world but, like anywhere, it has its own quirks that everyone who grew up here will understand.

1. It always smells in one way or another

Usually it smells lovely, particularly during the rapeseed growing season but occasionally it won’t smell quite that delicious. There’s a distinct smell of fields that we all know and have got used to over the years. To put it lightly, it smells like manure but it’s just one of those things that comes with living in the countryside.

The smell of rain on a warm summer day is well known throughout the world but in Norfolk, it rains so infrequently that we savour that smell… Read the full story

Legendary photographer Ray Bellisario took this collection of photos back in 1968 when Bardot was in London filming Shalako, which she starred in alongside Sean Connery.

Not only did the famed paparazzi photographer secretly whisk Bardot off her feet – pass her security guards and into his new motor – but he took her to a pub along Albemarle Street in Mayfair and got her to pose (check that bar lean) for a series of stunning shots.
