Love = carbs. (Picture: Doritos Ketchup Roses)

It is a truth universally acknowledged that nothing says love quite like carbs.

So this Valentine’s Day, we know what we’re hoping for from our secret admirers (who totally exist): a big ol’ bouquet of Doritos roses.

Yep, they’re a real thing. Clusters of Doritos dyed romantically red with ketchup flavoured seasoning, attached to twelve long stems.

Sadly, as with all great food-related things in life, the Doritos bouquet is only available across the pond, and only those that live in Canada will be able to have the greatest gift of all delivered to their loved one.

Who’s the daddy? (Picture: Stephen Ratpojanakul/Facebook)

Life can be pretty baffling for a baby as it is. But imagine what it’s like when your dad’s an identical twin.

Welcome to 16-month-old Reed Ratpojanakul’s world.

Dad Stephen Ratpojanakul is an identical twin – in fact, he met his wife Carroll through his twin bother Michael.

Last week, Michael and his wife offered to babysit little Reed. When Michael came to pick Reed up, the baby, understandably, got really confused as to who was the daddy.

The brothers found it so hilarious, they decided to film the whole thing and put it on Facebook, where it’s now been viewed over 12 million times.

French people are (perhaps rightly) outraged at this English ‘pancake massacre’

crepes

In France, they’re calling it the English pancake massacre. Well, actually, they’re calling it ‘le massacre anglais des crepes françaises ‘, but anyway.

A single picture has led to a cooling of relations between the French and English following years of entente cordiale, after it was shared on Reddit and Imgur yesterday (Shrove Tuesday).

The image, which user HZGQuickSilver explains was taken from their friend’s Facebook page, shows a stack of pancakes that has been callously sliced through, like a cake.

‘A French colleague made crepes today. English people are barbarians..’ the caption reads.

The Redditor went on to explain that the French worker had decided to make a stack of crepes and left them out for their (mostly English) colleagues to enjoy.

And this happened.

because we smart

Life isn’t always about being the smartest person, or always making the right decision.

You’re going to mess up sometimes. It’s okay. But there are some moments in life where being smart will change absolutely everything – for the better.

Maybe it’s the decision not to eat from a dodgy restaurant, meaning you’re not off sick for a week, and have a great career-changing week at work.

Maybe it’s choosing someone to spend the rest of your life with.

Or maybe it’s that time you decided to mix peanut butter into those cinnamon and chocolate chip pancakes you were making. A wise choice.

People are sharing their own ‘wow, well done, me’ moments over on Reddit, on a thread that asks: ‘What was the smartest thing that you have ever done?’

Good news guys, we now have an actual reason to binge-watch every episode of Making a Murderer in a day.

And it’s bonus news for anyone wanting a happy relationship.

A survey conducted by Netflix found that its own site (hmm, see what they’re doing here?) gives modern couples something to bond over.

They found that 72% of people would rather stay in with their SO and watch Netflix than go out. And why wouldn’t they? It’s a lot cheaper.

Manspreading. It’s been a major topic of conversation (and contention) on the internet ever since the ‘Men Taking Up Too Much Space on the Train’ Tumblr arrived into our lives back in 2013.

But contrary to angry commenters, manspreading isn’t just something feminists made up to have something to write about on the internet. It’s actually been around for years.

98 years, to be exact.

CityLab found a 1918 edition of a pamphlet called The Elevated News, in which the writers and a cartoonist beg men to please, please stop taking up so much bloody space on public transport for no reason.

As well as flips and rolls and, at one point, an eye watering air-split, she throws in a little whip nae nae, and finishes on a Formation-style salute, as the crowd chants ’10! 10! 10!’.

Following the competition, a video of the routine was posted on Facebook by Marcus Cheatham with the caption: ‘She MURDERED it! Sophina DeJesus of UCLA, everybody.’

It has since been viewed over 26 million times.

But here’s the thing. Before you go ahead and splash your cash on the fanciest meal around, you may want to consider this recent research from Inside Edition.

The Inside Edition team went around and tested lobster-based dishes at 28 restaurants around the U.S, including Red Lobster (the restaurant referenced in Beyoncé’s new… Read the full story

Important: Egg loaf is an awful thing that exists in the world

Long egg / egg loaf

There are some things in the world we may never understand. Things that shake us to our very core. Things that changed the way we look at the world forevermore.

One of those things is the monstrosity that is the egg loaf. Or the egg tube. Or ‘weird long egg thing’.

According to Cracked, the egg loaf was created by a Japanese company intending to improve on the magic of eggs.

They built a massive machine to separate the yolks and whites of boiled eggs, then another machine that carefully places those eggs and whites together to create a perfectly cylindrical egg loaf.

So you can slice it. Or carry it around in a Pringles tube. Or eat it like a banana, you goddamn mess.

It’s… Read the full story
