YES. WINE. (Picture: Liberty Antonia Sadler)

Whether you’re a regular wine drinker or if it’s a rare treat, this is you:

1. The ‘this calls for a glass of wine’ stage.

Known as the first stage of drinking wine, this is when you decide that your best friend coming over/any kind of day at work/your cat’s birthday is the perfect excuse to stop off at Sainsbury’s on your way home for a cheeky bottle or two.

2. The ‘OK, so I’m going to do this tonight’ stage.

Also known as the second glass of wine. The first glass was good, but it hasn’t really touched… Read the full story

dim sum

Vegan dim sum is everywhere in the capital and we couldn’t be happier.

Chinese restaurants have always had lots of veggie options, but dim sum is often filled with meat or fish.

It’s worth noting though, if you do find dim sum that isn’t marked as vegan, that as long as your filling is vegan, you should be safe.

Dumpling casings are generally made from rice, wheat, and sometimes yeast.

Just check they’re not planning to use milk or egg in the process, and check how they’re cooking them, just in case they use any animal fats.

On that note, we’ve rounded up the best places to grab vegan dim sum in London – and beyond – below.

People are going off paleo and Atkins diets… finally.

Just 1 in 10 Britons adopt a low-carb diet these days, which is a 15% decline since 2006.

A fifth of people ditch their low-carb regime because they feel too unsatisfied and hungry, the study by The Chia Co for Hovis Seed Sensations Chia bread found.

Modern Brits are instead incorporating more food groups into their meals.

Chia seeds. Why bother?

Puny chia seeds punch well above their weight in their nutritional benefits.

The ancient seeds provide plant-based essential omega-3 fats, fibre and protein.

A 24-year-old cervical cancer survivor has spoken out about her experience in the hopes of saving more women from the disease.

Heather Keating shared her story on this year’s World Cancer Day, urging girls to be aware of the symptoms of cervical cancer and the importance of smear tests.

Heather shared a photo of herself in her hospital gown along with a book the NHS gave her on the day of her diagnosis.

Heather first noticed something was wrong when she began bleeding between periods and after sex.

She went to see her GP, who she says told her to come back when she was 25 for a smear test.

‘I thought, that’s fine,’ she wrote.

‘Never in my wildest dreams did I think I had cancer.’

But three months later her bleeding worsened and she became anaemic so she returned to see her GP and was referred to a gynecologist.

After biopsies were taken, Heather was referred to a gynecology oncology specialist and informed that she had… Read the full story

We’re big fans of Lonely Label’s new campaign. (Picture: Lonely Label)

We’re so tired of the same old lingerie ads, showing perfecty toned, blow-dried, and made-up models frolicking on the beach.

It’s not just that seeing the same bodies over and over again is boring. It’s also that it sends a not-so-subtle message: sexy lingerie isn’t for all of us. It’s just for the tall, slim body types we’re seeing all over our magazines and billboards.

So Lonely Label’s spring campaign brings us all kinds of joy.

Look what we’ve done. (Picture: Instagram/thebagelstore)

Just a few months ago, the entirety of the internet lost their damn minds over the existence of rainbow bagels – soft, delicious bagels in swirls tie-dye effect colour.

They were stunning. They were filled with candy floss. It was all too much.

Because getting to eat a rainbow was too much power. There was too much excitement. Those bagels were too damn Instagrammable.

But our actions have consequences. And those consequences are terrible: The Bagel Store – AKA that place that makes amazing rainbow bagels – has shut down.
