Eeny meeny… (Picture: Starbucks)

We thought they’d forgotten about us in the UK but Starbucks has finally brought some of its fancy Frapps to the UK.

Launched this week to celebrate the Frappuccino’s 20th birthday, are four new limited edition fan flavours: Cinnamon Swirl, Cupcake, Cookie Dough and Summer Pie.

Did anyone else just get a rush of blood to the head?

Now all we have to do is try all of them and vote for our favourite on Twitter. Then, apparently, you’ll be able to enjoy the winning flavour for £3 from 26th – 29th June, 2-5pm.

Good, that’s the details out of the way. Now back to deciding which to try first.

Are you a corner-folder or not? (Picture: 2 Kinds of People Tumblr)

Are you a repetitive snoozer or do you throw yourself out of bed the moment the alarm sounds?

Do you have three emails in your in-box or 54,786?

While we all love to think we’re totally unique, the 2 Kinds of People Tumblr begs to differ. And it’s got us down to a tee.

The account is the work of João Rocha, an art director based in Lisbon, Portugal, who was also behind the seminal Kim Jong-Il looking at things Tumblr (check it out).

And, he argues, there are only really two types of people in the world: Type A who has one tab open on their computer at once; Type B who has… Read the full story

Glasgow is the best city in the world, we know that right?

Still need convincing? Here are 10 reasons Glaswegians love their city.

1. The people are great

You can make a friend within ten minutes of arriving. Need a hand with that suitcase, lost or look like you need a friendly chat?  Someone will be along to help.  We don’t like leaving people in the lurch.

2. Our nightlife is varied

There’s cosy pubs and noisy nightclubs and everything in between to keep you occupied.  Plus, there’s no need to travel about, as Sauchiehall Street, Bath Street and the Merchant City are the main nightlife areas and are all within walking distance.

We just can’t get enough of Disney characters re-imagined as different things – if they had realistic waistlines, if they re-enacted 50 Shades of Grey (my eyes!), if they got addicted to deep-fried mac ‘n’ cheese balls and watching Millionaire Matchmaker (okay, maybe not that one. Yet).

Now a 24-year-old animator called Pugletto from Wisconsin has imagined what the Disney animals would look like as human beings, and it’s strangely fascinating.

‘I was actually scrolling through Deviantart one day and just got really frustrated about the amount of Simbas with white skin and flowing red hair,’ Pugletto told Cosmopolitan.

‘The way I see it, is The Lion King is a story that takes place in Africa…… Read the full story

The folk at Dove are pretty adept at pulling on our heart strings, but they’ve surpassed themselves with this Father’s Day message.

They’ve compiled home videos showing the moment when 13 men discovered they were going to be dads for the first time – and it will make you melt.

Every one of the clips is totally authentic and captures the excitement and emotion of realising you’re about to become a parent.

According to Dove’s marketing director Jennifer Bremner, the campaign was partially inspired by a survey that found 82 per cent of men consider fatherhood an ’emotionally transformative experience.’

Tell us about it.

As of today, the morning-after pill is now available to girls under the age of consent in the UK.

The shift has come about thanks to the European Medicines Agency, who changed the license of ellaOne (which can be effective up to five days after sex), so that it is now available for use by any woman of reproductive age in Europe.

While the move has been welcomed by the Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS), it has obviously been greeted with some criticism.

The nineties (Picture: YouTube)

Oh, how we laughed back in the 90s when Travis sang ‘remember the eighties/they were worse than the nineties’.

But with hindsight, the nineties were pretty crap too. For every Nirvana there was a Nickelback, for every Schindler’s List a Spiceworld.

And the hair. Oh god, the hair.

Here are 21 things kids today will never understand about the nineties.

1. Dial-up internet

It was slow, it cost a fortune, you couldn’t use the phone at the same time and a single song would take four hours to download. We spent most of our time waiting for YouTube to be invented and flicking through Digitiser on teletext instead.

2. Britpop

So many guitarists. So few good songs.

3. Tony Blair

FLip your lips
Get your lippy on (Picture: Red Lippy Project)

Cervical cancer kills nearly 1,000 women every year.

Cases of cervical cancer are up 60 per cent among young women since 2004.

Yet, despite these figures, and despite the NHS providing free cervical screening to all women between the ages of 25 and 64 every three years, only a third of 25-29-year-olds have been for a smear test.

The Red Lippy Project – set up by Caroline Muhlich and Linda Andersson to raise awareness of the importance of smear tests in detecting and curing cervical cancer – wants to change this.

So, they’ve launched the #FlipYourLips campaign for Cervical Screening Awareness Week (15 – 21 June).

To help them raise awareness, and encourage others to keep that appointment, you just need to… Read the full story

A lesbian eating yogurt! Can you chuffing believe it?

American yogurt company Chobani are causing a bit of a hoo-ha with their latest advert, due to the fact it features a lesbian couple.

The advert begins with a woman, in bed, eating a yogurt in a laughably seductive fashion. After scraping the pot clean (no, that’s not a euphemism), she tickles the foot of her bedfellow.

But as the camera pans round, her partner is revealed not to be a man, but a WOMAN.

*GASP*

Unsurprisingly, opinion online is pretty split as to whether this is beautiful and wonderful, or the devil’s work.

Obviously some very angry people are very angry…

Youtuber spoiledsandi commented: ‘wow i just saw this on tv and my kid just asked me why she was lying with her, and at first i thought it was a man but now……thx now i have to… Read the full story

Sex? LOL (Picture: Getty)

When you have babies it can be a challenge to find the time (or energy) for any postnatal ‘romance’ with your partner. After all, you are too busy trying to deal with postnatal everything else…

But do not fear. Help is at hand. Here is my guide on how to have some post-baby action:

1. You and your partner agree to have an ‘early’ night.

2. Search the underwear drawer for something other than pyjamas.

3. Options are; old baggy tee shirts, comfortable knickers, two maternity bras, three used breast pads or a random thong that must have escaped the Great Thong Purge of 2010.

4. Wonder whether you have time to give your underwear drawer a quick clear out before… Read the full story

We want a UV camera (Picture: Daily Mail)

You slap on some SPF 15 and you think you’re protected for an average summer’s day in the UK, right?

Well, according to this experiment by Cancer Research UK and MailOnline, it’s not quite that simple.

It’s not just about the protection you use; it’s how you use it. As these six photos, taken using a camera which shows up UV light, prove.

The darker the skin is in the photo, the less UV light is being absorbed, resulting in better protection for the skin.

Journalist Jennie Agg took part in the experiment, with the help of Dr Justine Hextall, a consultant dermatologist at Western Sussex Hospitals NHS Trust.

And the results are, well, enlightening.

There are no words.

But we’ll try.

A picture of these cowboy boot sandals was shared by Redditor Dre2k four days ago and they’ve horrified/fascinated the entire internet.

Dre2K writes: ‘You know it’s hot in Texas when….’

When people completely lose their minds and all sense of self respect perhaps?

Comments below the post include: ‘I read this in the voice of a sassy gay man. You are FIERCE,’ and ‘I live in Fort Worth and I’d wear them as a “funny haha” kinda thing every once in awhile. I also spend a lot of time in dance halls.’

One person offered this next level styling tip: ‘They would also go great with socks’. Define great.

Tea
Nothing’s worse than a bad cuppa (Picture: Getty)

It’s official. There is no greater sin than a milky cuppa.

It’s a well-known fact (on these shores at least) that a good cup of tea can make a morning.

But what sets one cuppa apart from another?

Well, funny you should ask.

A survey of 2,000 (conducted by military charity SSAFA to mark their Big Brew Up 2015) has revealed our biggest pet peeves when it comes to our morning brew.

In at number one (and rightly so) is tea which is too milky. Moving away from the tea itself, the second biggest scourge was tea being served in a mug which hadn’t been rinsed properly *shudder*, while third place went to ‘watery residue on top of tea’.

Caitlyn Jenner may have graced the cover of Vanity Fair, but life for your average transgender man and woman is still far from easy.

As the mother of a transgender child, Marlo Mack obviously has a number of concerns (which she writes about on her blog Gendermom, which she describes as ‘A chronicle of fun and fear, or, daily life with my young trans daughter’).

However Marlo and her daughter M recently had a wonderfully inspiring meeting with Laverne Cox – the transgender star of Orange Is The New Black.

Marlo explained that despite OITND not being ‘appropriate viewing for seven-year-olds’, M was familiar with Laverne Cox thanks to her TIME magazine… Read the full story

Women are turning a worrying bodyshaming trend into something much more positive with the #BoobsOverBellyButtons challenge.

Last week, a disturbing new craze emerged on Chinese social media site Weibo, where girls were posting selfies of themselves trying to touch their belly buttons by swinging their arm round their back.

Known as ‘the belly button challenge‘, it was slammed for promoting damaging attitudes towards weight and size. Thankfully, it’s now been replaced by something far more positive.

The #BoobsOverBellyButtons campaign was started by British lingerie company Curvy Kate, in partnership with breast cancer charity Read the full story

Hey girl, if you didn’t already hate your body enough as it is there’s now a new part of your anatomy you can learn to loathe. Yay.

According to the results of a ‘why did they bother commissioning this?’ study by VoucherCodesPro.co.uk, having a visible or prominent collarbone is among the top five most desirable body features for women, alongside a visible thigh gap and a toned bum.

And if that wasn’t worrying enough, the majority of respondents (59 per cent) cited Instagram as their source of body inspiration.

Hands down the best Shake It Off routine ever.

This is the class of Portsmouth High School in Portsmouth, New Hampshire celebrating their graduation in full-blown flash mob style.

Student Colin Yost took to the stage to give a speech about embracing your inner geek, leaving his audience with the following line, ‘all you have to do is shake it off’.

Cue Taylor Swift’s infamous track and Colin busting out his shimmy on the podium.

The valedictorian then joined his fellow classmates in the center of the room to perform their routine, much to the surprise of the audience. And it was mega.

‘My parents and a lot of other parents didn’t know, so at the end of my speech half were laughing and some were like, ‘Oh gosh, what is he doing?’ Colin told MTV News.

There we were thinking Brits were the worst behaved tourists.

We’ve long been tarred with the ‘Brits abroad’ brush when travelling – we’re loud, we drink too much, we wear really dodgy swimwear.

But, it turns out, we’re not the worst.

According to a poll by Travel Zoo of Americans, Brits, Chinese, Canadian and German travellers on travelling faux-pas, Americans are the naughtiest holidaymakers.

Or, maybe, they’re just the most honest.

Asked if they’d ever taken a pee in the pool or the sea while on hols, 64 per cent of Americans ‘fessed up, followed by the Brits (46%), Germans (44%), Canadians (58%) and Chinese (41%). Still pretty high across the board guys.
