Well played, Ben & Jerry’s. Well played.

The US Supreme Court legalised same-sex marriage across every state in America on Friday, and to mark the EPIC occasion Ben & Jerry’s renamed its best-seller.

The iconic Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough now goes by the name of I Dough, I Dough (for a limited time) and it is everything.

‘Ben & Jerry’s is proud of the Supreme Court’s landmark decision against discrimination as it boldly stands up for equality for same sex couples everywhere,’ said Jostein Solheim, chief executive at Ben & Jerry’s.

And let’s not forget that the company also celebrated the legalisation of gay marriage in Vermont back in 2009, by renaming its Chubby Hubby flavour Hubby Hubby.

Goodbye lumbersexuality.

The new big trend for men? Merman hair.

Yep, men are hopping on the colourful hair bandwagon, following in our mermaid and sand art inspired hair footsteps by dyeing their hair magical shades of turquoise, lilac, and sea blue.

Obviously, calling it mermaid hair isn’t quite manly enough, so now, Instagram is all about the #merman hashtag, with dudes all over the world sharing photos of their majestically coloured ‘dos.

Because why go for plain old lilac hair when you can dye your beard green, too?

Dress dog as minion. Internet fame is yours. (Picture: Youtube/Crusoe the Celebrity Dachshund)

In need of some (very cute) evidence that the Minion obsession has gone too far?

Crusoe the Celebrity Dachshund is, as his name would suggest, a dachshund who’s gained massive internet fame by being a cute sausage dog that gets dressed up in ridiculous costumes.

This time, he’s tapped into the collective pulse of the internet, getting dressed up as a Minion just in time for the release of the new Minions film.

He’s even recruited one of his dachshund friends, because the only thing better than one tiny dog dressed as a cartoon character is TWO tiny dogs dressed as cartoon characters. Fact.

Alcohol company claims lust vodka claims to put women in the mood for sex
Sex sells, right? (Picture: Facebook/Lust Vodka)

Today in advertising that will drive you to drink (for all the wrong reasons): Presenting Lust Vodka, alcohol that claims to get women in the mood for sex.

Created by small alcohol brand Alko-Plus, Lust Vodka is a six-time distilled, gluten free vodka made using water from ‘natural aquifiers located in central Florida’. It also happens to get women feeling super randy, according to the brand’s latest press release.

Rather than being pumped full of female viagra or any other ingredients actually shown to impact hormones and sex drive, Lust Vodka’s aphrodisiac quality is all down to the power of suggestion, apparently. According to Alko-Plus’s… Read the full story

Disney Princesses' Eye-To-Stomach Ratio Source: Above Average
WTF? (Picture: Above Average)

The eye-to-stomach ratio of these Disney princesses is insane.

As in, the width of Jasmine’s eyes are wider than her waist. What? Another day another Disney princess controversy.

But seriously, this is ridiculous and HOW have we only just clocked these crazy proportions? Literally eyes bigger than bellies.

The team over at Above Average shed light on the fact that these Disney broads don’t really do much to promote realistic beauty standards (oh those teeny tiny waistlines).

Check out these images (the yellow bars show the width of eyes, the red show the waist), because there’s definitely a running theme here. Sigh.

The detailed designs are created with tiny lines drawn in x shapes to resemble cross stitches, forming stunning images that look like they’ve been stitched onto the skin. In a cute, not deeply horrifying, way.

The cross-stitch designs aren’t her only specialty. Eva also creates incredible watercolour and pixelated tattoos, all shared over on her Instagram.

Why are women rubbish at getting good shut-eye? (Picture: Getty)

Women need more sleep, says science, but are crap at actually getting it.

Guys are much better at clocking their recommended snooze time and according to a study by the University of Surrey, nearly one in five women have a bad night’s sleep five days a week in comparison to just 8 percent of men.

But why? According to Dr Jim Horne, Director of Sleep Research Centre at Loughborough University, women need 20 minutes extra sleep a day compared to men because women use their brains more during the day.

It’s also down to hormonal fluctuations that women experience during menstrual cycles, menopause and pregnancy. Oh the hormones.

social networking in real life is really weird video from Jena Kingsley
‘We’re all connected now!’ (Picture: Youtube/Jena Kingsley)

When you step back and actually think about it, social networking is really, really weird.

Following people, endorsing the stuff they do, commenting on their achievements? All the stuff we do online starts getting pretty awkward once you transfer it to real life.

And that’s exactly the point of this new video from Youtuber Jena Kingsley, in which she tests out the real-life versions of our favourite social media sites on unsuspecting members of the public.

As you’d expect, it gets pretty awkward. Apparently telling people in the street that you’re ‘following’ them doesn’t put them at ease, even when you assure them that they don’t have to do… Read the full story

A 19-year-old man dressed as a giant penis is running around the streets and beaches of Norway, ejaculating gold glitter at members of the public and allowing his enormous testicles to roam free. Just your average Saturday, really.

It may sound like a bizarre form of sexual harassment, or just a bit of a random idea for a Youtube prank, but it turns out that the glitter-spraying penis mascot is all for a good cause, enlisted by sexual health charity RFSU to spread awareness of… Read the full story

Let’s salute the simplest food out there that are also the tastiest.
