That moment when you’re trying to teach the baby to say mum for the first time – and the dog says it first. Awkward.

If it’s survival of the fittest, this baby is screwed. Because Patch, the Miniature Australian Shepherd, will go to any lengths to get his supper.

This video was originally uploaded to YouTube back in February, but has started to pick up traffic over the weekend. It was posted by Andres Diaz, and shows his wife Ginette trying to coax her 15-month-old grandson into saying his first word.

‘Bikinis don’t look good on bigger girls? Hmm, I’m gonna have to disagree,’ says Loey Lane at the start of her viral response to the haters: ‘Why fat girls shouldn’t wear bikinis.’

Loey is a 22-year-old fashion and beauty vlogger, with over 345,000 followers on YouTube and more than 90,000 on Instagram.

Her response to all the dumb and hurtful things people have said about her wearing bikinis in her videos has now been viewed 846,000 times since it was posted last month.

‘I’ve learnt that apparently fat girls in bikinis get a lot of mixed reviews,’ she says. ‘So, I thought I’d give you a… Read the full story

Yum? (Picture: BazTastic77/Twitter)

Turns out, the world is not quite ready for hyper-realistic animal poo sweets yet.

Two weeks ago, Disney World’s Animal Kingdom opened up a new sweet shop called Zuri’s and, in keeping with the animal theme, they decided to sell hippo, elephant, giraffe and tamarin poo in chocolate form. Because, of course.

They were quite literally selling crap.

And while the $3.99 (£2.50) ‘poop platter’ doesn’t look particularly appetising, it does sound pretty delicious.

The giraffe dung is actually a rolled fudge brownie with fresh caramel, while the elephant poo is in fact chocolate peanut butter fudge with… Read the full story

It’s true love. (Picture: Getty)

We grew up watching fairy tales and gushy rom-coms, with the strong belief that The One was right around the corner, and we would meet them on a bridge overlooking a river at sunset, or bump into them head on in the street.

The truth is that nowadays, you’re more likely to meet them on Tinder or in your local bar – but that doesn’t diminish the fact they can still very much be The One.

1. They’ve seen you at your worst – and they still think you’re the best

Our idea of living on the edge is adding a little Worcestershire sauce to our cheese on toast.

But, that’s nowhere near enough excitement for Leonardo Edson Pereira, 23, and his girlfriend Victoria Medeiros Nader, 18. They prefer to dangle, one-handed, thousands of feet off the ground. Casual.

These pictures show the couple hanging off Brazil’s Pedra de Gavea mountain, 2,769 feet above Rio and the Atlantic Ocean.

One slip equals certain death.

It really is possible (Picture: Getty)

Appearance probably features closer to the top of men’s weight loss motivation list than we’d openly admit.

Sure, it would be great to avoid getting diabetes or having to ask for a seat-belt extender on flights but, ultimately, looking good on the beach is still a driving factor for many men.

But shifting a few pounds isn’t just good for your ego, here are 15 surprising results that weight loss brings.

1. You get more, um, bang for your buck

Did you know that 1 in 3 men are too fat to see their own equipment? If you’re carrying a few extra stone in weight then you might like to know that research suggests that… Read the full story

Summer in the States means silly food season is almost upon us.

For those not familiar with the state fair concept, it’s basically an opportunity to live out your dirtiest food dreams. Imagine all your favourite foods, wrapped in bacon, deep fried and then served to you on a stick.

The fairs usually take place towards the end of summer/early autumn and, to whet everyone’s appetites, they like to release lists of their upcoming foodie treats well in advance.

Minnesota, Iowa, Indiana and New York all released their menus last week and, let’s just say, we’re booking our tickets, and girding our loins, already.

Not a day goes by when your Facebook, Twitter and Instagram aren’t full of interesting opinion articles and thought-provoking pieces about women’s issues and our right to equality. And thank God for that – the problems and struggles are out in the open and being talked about.

But with feminism being so pervasive in the media, it can sometimes throw up confusing and challenging thoughts – and some of the following questions may have occurred to you. If you’ve thought these thoughts, can you be a real feminist?

‘Is it bad that I could never not shave my armpits?’

There are so many anti-shaving movements out there, and you can totally see the point: why should you have to conform to idealised beauty… Read the full story

She made you (Picture: Getty)

She carried you around in her womb for nine months, she changed endless gross nappies, she comforted you through school bullies and heartbreaks and workplace politics – your mother is a pretty special woman.

You should probably pick up the phone and call her right now, in fact. Here are just a few reasons why:

1. She made you

She physically grew you in her stomach, feeding you, giving you everything you needed and then giving birth to you in an extremely painful series of events. Calling her is a doddle compared, no?

2. She gives the best advice

Even if sometimes it’s the last thing you want to hear, you know every bit of advice your mumma gives you is… Read the full story

Aaargh, the itch never stops… (Picture: B. BOISSONNET / BSIP/BSIP/Corbis)

Eczema is the WORST. Seriously. It looks gross, it’s so itchy and there’s no cure.

But worst of all, we eczema-sufferers have to put up with people asking us the same damn stupid questions and making the same silly comments all the time…

1. Is it contagious?

No. You’re not going to catch our gross disease, so you don’t need to look so horrified when we try and shake your hand.

2. Aww, is it itchy?

No, of course not, that’s why I’ve been manically scratching it for the last five minutes.

3. Stop scratching!

Sure thing, just as soon as you stop commenting about my scratching, douchebag.

While women can feel the breeze in flippy mini-skirts and vest tops, men of the UK usually have to suffer through summer heatwaves in stifling shirts and trousers.

Until now.

Because crochet shorts are, we’re told, the hot look for men this summer. And by hot, apparently they don’t just mean highly flammable.

According to Schuyler Ellers, the American brand behind the technicoloured Lord von Schmitt crochet pants, they are ‘great for running, walking, dancing, or just wearing every day!’

They also suggest wearing them at festivals, or for doing morning yoga in winter.

Earlier this month, we were all talking about 18-year-old Kyemah McEntyre and her beautiful prom dress.

The teen from New Jersey, who was bullied when she was younger, decided to design her own dress for senior prom, because she wanted to celebrate her individuality.

‘The most creative people are the ones who step out of their comfort zone and take advantage of the world around them,’ she wrote at the time.

‘Don’t let anyone define you. Beautiful things happen when you take pride in yourself,’ she added.

But social media isn’t just there to further our narcissism and make us look popular – it has fulfilled some incredible purposes too…

Been on Facebook today? Of course you have. Surfed through Twitter last night for hours after you should have been asleep? Yup. Instagrammed your amazing work outfit today with the hashtags #ootd and #instadaily? Duh.

Now on Social Media Day 2015, it’s time to recognise that – for all the benefits it has brought us (ie. instant access to friends around the world; constant news updates about Kim Kardashian’s bum; easy ways of complaining to the broadband provider without being on hold for 20 minutes), social media has also pretty much ruined our lives.

And there’s also a point in your life when you no longer give a sh*t and start making up your own words.

Enter these American grans.

They were asked by Elite Daily to define modern slang words and, to be honest, we prefer their versions.

Your burger definitely won’t look like this (Picture: YouTube)

Let’s face it, we’re not buying that quarter pounder or bargain bucket for the good of our health.

We know what we’re getting into when we go down the fast food route. We know about all the preservatives, the salt, the sugar – the myriad ways they hope to keep us coming back for more.

And we also know the big fast food brands are never going to come completely clean about all those tricks they turn to lure you in.

So, Cracked have done it for them.

This is what fast food ads would *probably* look like if they were being completely honest with you.

It’s the holiday conundrum we’ve all faced – what do you do with your valuables when you want to go for a dip?

But now two friends from Tunbridge Wells think they’ve solved this problem with a new range of waterproof bags called Swymbags.

After Kristina Oliver and Emily Gayton had their bags stolen from the beach when they went for a swim on holiday last year, they decided it was time to find a solution to this holiday dilemma.
