Make pizzas on your BBQ with this recipe

BBQ pizzas-1
BBQ pizzas (Picture: Hazel Paterson)

The BBQ is traditionally the domain of meat but for those of us that don’t happen to have a wood fired pizza oven sat on the patio it is also a brilliant way to cook pizzas and ensures you get a lovely crisp, smoky pizza base that quite frankly no matter how many marble slabs I stick in my oven still eludes me.

You can make a big batch of the pizza dough, lay out various toppings and let everyone make their own. I cook my pizza bases on the BBQ then finish them off briefly under a hot grill which works really nicely and don’t forget to make a big jug of spiced lemongrass lageritas… Read the full story

23 fashion fads that we deeply regret
Ultimate late 90s fashion. (Picture: Touchstone Pictures)

We’ve grown up through some rough times, fashion-wise. Most of my historical fashion choices are things I can look back on and smile about. Ah, low-rise nylon hipster flares. You were good at the time.

But there are some fashion fads that we’ve consigned to the dark recesses of our memory, praying that they never make a comeback.

He’s in the palm of her hand (Picture: Gossip Girl)

A new study has found that men are willing to put up with a lot of nonsense for a pretty face.

In a new study titled ‘The undermining effect of facial attractiveness on brain responses to fairness in the Ultimatum Game’ (catchy) published in Frontiers in Neuroscience, researchers showed male participants pictures of women who had been sorted into unattractive and attractive groups by a separate group of people.

The men were given deals they were told actually existed, in which they were asked to split ¥10 with the women pictured. The men were more likely to accept unfair splits of the money when the deal was proposed by one… Read the full story

We wouldn’t usually write about a car ad, because, obvs, but a car ad full of cute kids swearing? Now you’ve got our attention.

Little kids shouldn’t swear. It’s wrong. Abhorrent. Disgusting. But also really really funny.

Which is why this advert for the smart forfour is totally genius.

The ad features a series of insanely cute, angel-faced kiddies, with the pottiest mouths you ever did hear.

In fact, they’ve made us realise we really need to up our swearing game.

On that note, f*** the f*** off. Oh, and have a good day.

What men wear on a daily basis has changed a LOT in the last 100 years.

There were the great moments of men’s fashion, when every man wore a suit to pop to the shops, and the not so great times, when mullets were a thing.

And while everyone’s regramming quotes about preferring suits and ties to snapbacks and sweatpants, this video taking a look back over the last century shows that really, men’s style today could be a LOT worse. Think mustard yellow and perms.

The handlebar moustache was a big deal, and it was all about looking dapper in plaid.

Buying the happy couple a present? Don’t bother (Picture: Getty)

If you’ve got a summer full of weddings ahead of you, this is likely to make you pretty bloody angry.

It’s not enough that you have to buy a new outfit, travel across the country and pay for a hotel (kerching, kerching, kerching), but you also have to get the happy couple (who you know, have already won the life lottery by actually finding love) a wedding gift.

And you know what, you don’t mind, because you’re a good person, and you want to help them celebrate their love by gifting them a new toaster.

You know how plane journeys can be really, really awkward?

Squeezing past sleeping people to pee, having to listen to your seat neighbour’s holiday plans, pretending you’re not furious that they’ve taken the arm rest. It’s horrible.

Well, one ingenious company has decided to make it a hundred times worse.

Zodiac Aerospace have just unveiled proposed designs for a new plane layout for short haul flights, and in an effort to pack as many people onto a plane as possible, they’ve slotted passengers together in a game of human Tetris.

We all know how anno… sorry, one second…

Sorry, where were we? Oh yes. We all know how annoying it is when you’re in the middle of a task, and someone interrupts you and f**s up your flow. Especially when you’re on a deadline and have your boss breathing down your neck.

Which is why we all need to take a moment to bow down to this dude, who created a physical DO NOT DISTURB poster, and stuck it to his back.

‘You young ones don’t know you’re born,’ said every old person ever, underestimating the pressures and hells of modern teenage life.

Yes, society and technology has come on a long way – but life as a teen is by no means easy. In fact, even though adults endure everything from work problems to debt, no period of your life comes close to being as difficult as your teenage years.

Everything is changing both physically and emotionally and yet you are thrust in to the most intense situations of your young life, discovering heartbreak, anxiety, low self esteem and peer pressure along the way.

In defence of all teenagers out there, here’s the proof that those of us who have emerged out of the… Read the full story

A new study has found that drinking tea daily might make you live longer, finding that women in their 70s and 80s lived longer if they had, on average, 2 cups of tea per day.

MORE: Raise your tea cups to good health

Australian researchers studied the health records of 1,000 women over the age of 75, tracking their diet as well as their tea and coffee consumption. Over the course of the study, 88% of the women were still alive, and those who drank 2 cups of tea in an average day were 40% more likely to have survived.

I expected to lose sleep when I had a baby but I did not expect to lose my mind!

When your baby keeps you awake most of the night every night, the relentless exhaustion can make even the smallest task become a major challenge.

After four years of barely any sleep I have made a fair few stupid mistakes…

Here are 22 sleep-deprived fails you might recognise

1. I tried to unlock the front door with my remote car key fob.

2. I tried to put a dummy in my baby’s ear.

3. I tried to find my mobile while actually talking on my mobile.

4. I said ‘love you’ to the postman instead of ‘thank you’.

Do you feel like everyone’s always banging on about meditation, but it’s all just a bit too fancy and serene for you?

Well we have the answer. Just add a shit-tonne of swearing; it’s much more relaxing, a lot more understanding of your constant rage, and 100 per cent unpretentious.

Jason Headley has created a guided meditation video based around the relaxation power of saying ‘f*** that’, telling us all to ‘acknowledge that all that shit is f***ing bullshit’ and remember that ‘those bitches can’t get under your skin’.

Your new life’s purpose (Picture: Facebook/Last Lemon)

Cats can be great, but let’s be honest, they’re also massive dicks.

So, Last Lemon have created an ultimate guide for how to successfully be a gloriously irritating cat.

And if you recognise these scenarios, that’s because Last Lemon crowd-sourced the ideas by asking people on Facebook to submit their cat’s most ridiculous habits, and then illustrating their favourites.

They say they’ve seen a pretty significant rise in the number of tattoo removal requests, with an increase of 25 per cent in the last two years. So much regret.
