We’ve been blessed with loads of new vegan offerings this past week.

Wagamama launched a new totally separate veggie and vegan menu, as did American food baes, The Diner.

But ya boi Zizzi has been leading the way in mainstream restaurants offering vegan food for a while – they already have a pretty decent vegan menu, and were the first UK restaurant chain to offer vegan cheese on pizzas.

And if you’re a fan of those pizzas, you’ll be a fan of this news – Zizzi are launching two brand new vegan pizzas (and a delish new vegan-friendly cocktail) today as part of their… Read the full story

Franz Jacob has several customers with autism – so he knows that they can require a little specialist treatment.

After all, barber shops can be noisy, intimidating places.

But few barbers would go as far out of their way as Franz does to accommodate clients.

A photo of him cutting an autistic boy’s hair has gone viral after he lay on the ground for his last appointment with six-year-old Wyatt Lafrenièr.

Oh, hey. Having a nice day? Feel like having it ruined? Read on – especially if you’re just tucking in to a slice of cake.

If you happen to be in Malaysia right now, you can get your hands on a truly delightful cake that lets you pop pimples made out of fondant.

Yes, really.

The Cakescape is a bakery that specialises in making magical cakes decorated with faces. Faces with spots on.

Those spots are squeezable. If you squeeze them, yellow gunk comes out. LOVELY.

We’re not entirely sure what that yellow gunk is, but we believe it’s some kind of custard; to create the perfect pus-like texture.

Researchers at the University of Zurich have found that women are nicer and more generous than men.

If you’re thinking this sounds unlikely and also quite annoying, we’ve got you. Bear with.

The researchers discovered that male and female brains react differently to ‘prosocial’ (otherwise known as selfless) and selfish behaviours.

The brain’s rewards system, known as the stratium, releases dopamine when triggered and therefore makes us want to do some more than others, things on the basis that they will make us feel happier.

The research found that women were more likely to experience a higher level of dopamine when they did something selfless than men were.

It means that women… Read the full story

What with Pennywise sharing his creepy, toothy smile on our cinema screens since last month, it was only so long until people decided to recreate his look for halloween.

First, we saw some rather impressive IT-inspired nails. And now, he’s here in the form of a halloween costume. A sexy halloween costume, that is.

Yep, one company has added some sex appeal to the terrifying Pennywise the Dancing Clown and we’re not quite sure what to make of it.

Yandy, a US clothing company that specialises in everything from lingerie to dance gear – as well as sexy halloween costumes – has launched its very own ‘Dancing Sewer Clown’ costume that features… Read the full story

Disclosing your mental illness to the person you’re dating is important.

I’m not talking opening up about your worst days on a first date, but if you see a future with that person, it’s an important part of building trust within a relationship.

Talking about it is not easy, let alone with someone you’re interested in. For many people suffering with their mental health, they fear telling those closest to them.

I think you should be able to talk about your mental illness with the person you’re dating. Not just because it’ll be a relief for you to get it out, but because that person deserves to know.

According to research by StudySoup.com, almost 15% of men believe that once sex has started, it’s not possible for a person to revoke her consent.

Just as worryingly, 12% of women reported believing the same thing.

The study asked 1,000 people a variety of questions around the topic of sex and consent. When it came to withdrawing consent, they were asked about whether someone should have the right to withdraw consent before, during and after sex.

While the majority of respondents of both genders affirmed a person’s right to withdraw consent before or during a sexual act. More than 1 in 10 respondants felt that it wasn’t possible to withdraw… Read the full story

Being a dealer is pretty risky business, and it’s one that those in the profession take seriously.

Well, at least this guy who informs his clients of his days off does, anyway.

Twitter user @_Mandieeee recently received an automated text from her dealer informing her that she wouldn’t be able to buy any weed on 13 October. Why? Because it’s her dealer’s birthday.

Yep, dealers need their days off too, y’know.

In a hilarious text message, her dealer wrote: ‘Good Evening, Happy Monday. Thank you for being a valued customer. This Friday (October 13th) I will be OFF. It is my birthday, and most likely the following Saturday morning recovering. So please leavemealone.

So many misconceptions (Picture: Getty/Metro)

My friend Gemma once said to me: ‘Well done on having a life so s*** you make money out of it.’

She made a funny, fair, flipping cruel and point.

Here are all the annoying things about being single

But I don’t just want to make money out of the relentless poop that happens to me. No. I want to help others too.

And I feel, by sharing my tales of woe, you won’t feel alone and your pain will be lessened.

To that end, I like to highlight the ‘crap they… Read the full story

Tesco is no stranger to a fancy packet of crisps.

Within its ‘Tesco Finest’ line, we’re big fans of flavours such as Barbecue Pulled Pork, Stilton & Truffle and Brie & Cranberry – with the exception of their recent addition, Candy Cane, which left us baffled.

Now, Tesco is once again stocking its famous Pigs in Blankets flavour, which has been gracing the shelves for Christmas for the past couple of years.

The 150g packet of crisps comes part of a limited-edition, festive range which we’re hoping will be around until at least a few days after Christmas – because they’ll make the perfect addition to our leftover turkey and stuffing… Read the full story

If you spend time on social media, you’ll be no stranger to spotting people tweeting about having ‘OCD’, using the term to describe habits that are in no way related to an actual OCD diagnosis.

I’m not saying everyone who uses the term doesn’t know what it means – or that they haven’t been diagnosed with it.

But a large proportion of the people using the term are using it incorrectly – and are getting it mixed up with obsessive-compulsive personality disorder.

I’ll see people calling themselves ‘OCD’ when they talk about liking the items in their cupboard lined up in a certain way. Perhaps they like their wardrobes colour-coordinated… Read the full story

Here’s our usual routine when a restaurant announces the offer of free food.

We get excited.

We take note of the day and time they’re handing out free stuff.

We promptly forget all about it until we start seeing people Instagramming deliciousness, and hate ourselves for being so bloody forgetful.

That’s not going to happen this time around. Because if we miss the first day of this particular deal, there’s always tomorrow, and the day after, and the day after that.
