Pepper’s off limits when it comes to sex (Picture: YouTube/Aldebaran)

Pepper the robot might have said ‘I want to be loved’ in an interview, but there’s a limit to the type of loving he’ll take.

The social robot is said to be the first to recognise emotions and is designed to keep humans company with good conversation.

He’s not here, however, to satisfy every human desire.

While he has very sweet eyes and all, we’re not sure why (or even how) people would want to get down and dirty with him.

Yet, this is something Softbank, which sells the units in Japan, felt the need to spell out.

Like many parents of young children, I need a large cup of coffee before I even attempt to do anything in the morning.

It may not always be hot, but it never fails to make me feel human again.

So to mark International Coffee Day, I’ll be raising a mug in celebration of the brown stuff – however it is served.

Here are the eight types of coffee parents consume:

1. The triple-reheated one

Every time you go to take a much-needed sip of your hot coffee something or someone gets in the way. Whether it is a cry, a scream, an exploding nappy, a request for a… Read the full story

Bullying and lack of family support can make it incredibly hard to grow up as a trans teen.

This mum’s video shows the amazing difference a loving parent makes.

After two years of waiting, trans teen Corey was given the all-clear by her therapist and medical team in Chicago to start hormone therapy when she turned 14.

Her mum, Erica Maison, told Buzzfeed: ‘All we had to do was wait for the therapist to send over the ‘readiness’ letter to Chicago. We waited, and waited, and waited.’

Maison was finally given the call on September 24 to pick up the prescription.

Being best friends with the opposite sex is fab for a number of reasons.

The fact that you can be open and honest with each other about pretty much anything. The fact that you can receive the best advice.

You can also rely on them to tell you the absolute truth about anything, things that maybe friends of the same sex would deem too ‘harsh’.

But, there are some downsides too.

Here’s 12 things you’ll only know if you’re best friends with the opposite sex.

1. You can always rely on them to tell you the absolute truth. Yes, you do look fat in that. In fact, you look huge.

2. You’re sick of people telling you how ‘cute you look together’. No. We don’t. That’s gross.

3. Especially when you’re both already in relationships.

4. And if you’re not in relationships, you automatically become each other’s… Read the full story

Ah, just what we fancy (Photo: Lindsay Buckley)

Coffee is pretty great.

For some people, it’s the only thing that gets them out of bed every morning – it’s their lifeblood. For others it’s the cornerstone of their social lives or a desk companion at work.

No wonder there’s an International Coffee Day to celebrate all things caffeine.

Turns out there’s also some pretty awesome health benefits too.

Here’s why you should drink coffee today and every day – in case you needed a reason.

It makes your sex life better

Men – say goodbye to fears of floppy d***. If you drink coffee that is.

A new study published earlier this year revealed that men who drink two or three cups of coffee a day are less likely to suffer erectile dysfunction.

The belief that aliens are out there is now mainstream.

Whether it’s the idea of welcoming a real-life E.T. or the fear of an attack of terrifying Ridley Scott-esque aliens, most of us believe something is lurking in space.

According to a new YouGov survey, over one in two people in the UK, Germany and the US believe in extra-terrestrial intelligent life.

No thanks (Picture: Instagram)

‘If they weren’t good enough for the one they gave it to, why would they be good enough for you?’ asks the ‘No Hymen, No Diamond’ Facebook, a page set up by a group of men’s rights activists to shame women for daring to embrace their sexuality.

Oh, and to find ‘perfect virgin brides’ good enough for all those eligible bachelors of course.

The page has an audience of over 2,000 active members, all of whom apparently subscribe to the belief that a woman is only marriage material if she’s still a virgin.

Another recent post reads: ‘Women, even ugly ones, are easily able to have sex with almost any man they choose, some men will even pay for the privilege. When something… Read the full story

Not to get too excited but FYI the three best things in life have just been united.

That’s right, chocolate, wine and sex have been combined to produce the world’s first chocolate vibrator.

And, no, you won’t get stained sheets.

That’s because this is a high-end scented sex toy.

The Lily 2 by Lelo comes in three aromas – lavender and Manuka honey, rose and wisteria and, of course, Bordeaux and chocolate.

The toys are infused with scents picked for their aphrodisiac properties.

Lavender increases blood flow to both your bits, while everyone knows the role vino and choc plays in the bedroom.

But, naturally, a chocolate vibrator doesn’t come cheap – it’s £99.

Still – no calories.

7 ways hypnobirthing can make childbirth awesome

I found giving birth amazing (Picture: Getty)

Most of the birth stories we read about in the news are about negative experiences. As a result, many mums-to-be are terrified of labour from the moment they fall pregnant.

However, these are not the only stories. Recently, TV presenter Fearne Cotton described her labour as the most ‘intense and euphoric experience ever’ after she used hypnobirthing.

These are the stories we need to read, because according to hypnobirthing practitioners, it is that fear of pain that keeps the body tense during labour and makes childbirth more difficult than it needs to be.

Just like Fearne, I found giving birth amazing.

Let’s face it, when you are pregnant the last thing you want to do is anything that involves any effort,… Read the full story

This is why you're Facebook stalking your ex COMP
Guys, it’s time to unfriend (Picture: Metro)

That moment when you realise you’ve lost four hours of your life painfully analysing your ex’s Facebook photos.

Yeah, that moment.

Researchers at the University of Hawaii and Ohio State University have been looking into why this happens to some people more than others.

They found that people who are more anxious and uncertain about their relationships tend to be more traumatised when they end.

And the more traumatised you are by a break-up, the more likely you are to monitor your previous partner’s social media accounts.

Which is pretty obvious stuff really: If you’re still obsessing over where things went wrong, you’re far more likely to be trying to understand the break-up through social media.

19 struggles you’ll only understand if you suck at dieting

You know that quote ‘nothing tastes better than skinny feels’? Yeah, that’s total rubbish.

I can name like, a million foods that taste a million times better than anything ever could feel.

Burgers. Pizza. Chocolate. Sweets. Deep fried burgers, pizza, chocolate and sweets. See? I told you.

And unfortunately, when you have this mentality, it’s pretty hard to convince yourself that salads and kale taste better than any of this.

But still, of course there’s always that little bit of envy that nibbles away when you see a picture of some toned, flat-tummied girl pictured on the beach in a skimpy bikini.

I can dream, right?

Here’s the struggles you’ll only understand if you want to lose weight, but also want to eat everything in the house.

1. You wake up in the morning and tell yourself: ‘Today’s the day. I’m going to do it. I’m going to start my diet.’

2. Twenty minutes later, you’ve accidentally made yourself a bacon sandwich… Read the full story

#GoodAndBadDays – the campaign that shouts ‘there’s more than what meets the eye’

Crohn’s & Colitis UK have just launched a new campaign.

The campaign asks sufferers of diseases such as Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis (which are generally known as invisible illnesses) to upload photos of themselves on both their good days and their bad.

The good days being the days when they feel relatively healthy and the bad when they are suffering the worst symptoms of their illness.

The campaign hit the internet after one girl posted a photo of her good and bad days with Crohn’s disease, which reflected largely on the visual effects that are often ignored when referring to Crohn’s or Colitis.

Suffers of the diseases have been posting their good and bad day pics to Crohn’s & Colitis’ Facebook page:

These pictures resemble the many effects caused by Inflammatory Bowel Disease

But also show you can live a completely normal life

The photos are giving a real insight into what goes on behind closed doors for people with Crohn’s or Colitis.

We’d give it a go (Picture: Burger King/Facebook)

Not content with freaking us all out with black burger buns for Halloween, Burger King has now launched Whopper Wine – with the strapline: ‘fire is what we do best’.

Which doesn’t really make any sense, but then none of this really makes sense.

The red wine has been launched in Spain to celebrate 40 years of serving burgers to the country’s senors and senoritas.

It has apparently been aged in flame-grilled wooden barrels, giving it a distinct charred flavour, and pairs perfectly with the chain’s signature burger.

The limited edition wine is actually a nod to the burger giant’s Spanish heritage. When they opened their first location in the country in 1975, they added wine to the menu to… Read the full story
