When we make that difficult step to abandon everything and move far away for career prospects or love, we’re leaving behind a lot.

Familiarity, family, friends and memories are all still there waiting for our regular visits, though.

While the knowledge that travelling home has never been easier with regular flights and trains is a huge comfort, there are some things that we start to notice happening every time we head back.

If you live far away from your family and regularly travel back for visits, you will no doubt be familiar with all of this.

1. The awkward, polite reunion where you know you have lots to say but can’t think of a conversation starter. It takes a few moments… Read the full story

American beauty

You know those Dracula facials people have been getting? By people, we mean Kim Kardashian. Well now you can get them for your vagina.

Yes. Dracula vajacials are a thing and they involve getting your own blood injected into your vajajay.

The treatment called Rejuvula claims to tighten and rejuvenate the vagina by injecting ‘yellowish’ coloured Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) into the tissue.

As well as making the poon-tang plumper, the procedure promises increased sensation, stronger and more frequent orgasms and a boosted libido.

Aside from the sexual rewards, the Dracula treatment is also said to have health benefits, helping women who suffer pain during intercourse and even improving urinary incontinence.

Who’s in charge? (Picture: Pixar)

Who didn’t spend frustrated hours as a child trying to win a teddy from one of those damned claw machines?

If you were one of the many who were dragged kicking and screaming left the arcade with their dreams of a brand new cuddly toy in tatters, then this video will either confirm your suspicions or ruin your childhood.

Either way, this is huge.

History writer Phil Edwards has taken a look at the instruction manuals of some claw games for Vox and uncovered their dirty little secret.

The claw is rigged to only grab a toy when it’s made enough money.

So you have finally got someone to take care of the children for a WHOLE night. The hotel is booked, the bags are packed and you are off for an entire weekend without the children for the first time ever!

Here are a few things that will inevitably happen:

1. You will leave a detailed four page step-by-step guide on how to take care of your children.

2. Just before you leave you get cold feet and try to find an excuse not to go; ‘I think the baby might be teething – look does she look a bit red to you? Is she dribbling? She feels a little bit hot. OH… Read the full story

Young Couple Making Love
Where’s your head at? (Picture: Getty)

You may like to think that when you’re in the sack, your partner only has eyes for you, but sadly it seems that may not be the case.

According a recent a survey, a staggering 46 per cent of women and 42 per cent of men have admitted to fantasising about someone else whilst in bed with their partner. Ouch.

And when it comes to women’s fantasies, they’re most likely thinking about generic hot Hollywood actor, that guy at the gym, a work colleague.

Yep, that’s right guys, women are most likely to fantasise about someone they work with.

bacon

Bacon and money.

Two of life’s greatest vices (for most sane people anyway).

So some clever chap in America has combined the two in a fiendishly attractive lottery, where the winners are awarded not only with a cash prize of up to $10,000, but also a 20-year supply of the delicious artery-clogging meat.

The scratch, sniff, and win Hoosier Lottery tickets cost $2 each, and are infused with the scent of sizzling bacon.

If that’s not enough of a gamechanger to make people fork out for a lottery ticket, we don’t know what is.

Bacon addicts will enjoy perusing the lottery’s website which includes a bacon quiz, bacon recipes, a link to Facebook asking you to debate ‘Tongs vs Forks’, and a ‘Bacon Cam’ where you can watch some strips sizzle in a frying pan.

A gamble with money and your health. Now that’s an American lottery.

Now this is a statement piece.

An 18-year-old student went to her graduation in a dress made out of her maths homework. She did it to help other young women get an education.

Erinne Paisley, from Victoria, Canada, wrote across the dress in red pen: ‘I’ve received my education. Not every woman has that right.’

Not only was she making a point about women’s rights and the need for all girls to have access to a secondary education, but she was also raising money for the Malala Fund (read her blog about it Read the full story

Hailey Fort is not your average 9-year-old girl.

When she was five, Hailey Fort saw a homeless man on the street, and asked her mum how they could help him.

Hailey and her family bought the man lunch, and since that day the schoolgirl from King Fort, Washington, USA, has been working to help homeless people in her local community.

A year later, at the age of six, Hailey began growing vegetables to donate to the local food bank; last year she grew carrots, peppers, peas, beans, tomatoes, berries, cucumbers, and melons, and donated an impressive 128 pounds worth of fruit and veg.

For an extra $20 HKD (£1.69) on top of your meal, you could choose from a Lego-style Big Mac, fries, milkshake, apple pie, McFlurry, or a tiny McDonald’s restaurant, all made up of teeny tiny bricks.

There’s no denying that Caityln Jenner introduced herself to the world in spectacular style. But while many people have applauded her bravery and raved about her beauty, some in the trans community have been a little more introspective.

From OITNB star Laverne Cox writing on her blog, to Montreal-based writer Kai Cheng Thom, who wrote an open letter to Caitlyn Jenner for xoJane, many people in the trans community have expressed mixed feelings about Caitlyn Jenner.

Best. Outfit. EVER. (Picture: Twitter/ Elizabeth McMillan)

Snoop Dogg is visiting your hometown. You might ACTUALLY get the chance to meet the hip hop legend. What do you wear?

Well, the only possible correct answer is a pair of marijuana print shorts with a matching T-shirt, obviously. And that’s exactly what Ben Baker did.

Ben was spotted standing on a grassy knoll in the small Canadian suburb of Bible Hill in Truro with a smattering of other locals, trying to catch a glimpse of Snoop who was in town filming an episode of Canadian mockumentary Trailer Park Boys.

Nooooo! (Picture: Linda Venuto Photography)

THE well known quote goes that nothing is certain in life except death and taxes.

But every parent knows that there is one more thing that is certain and that is those dreaded childhood temper tantrums.

Supermarkets, friends’ houses, weddings or birthday parties – nowhere is exempt from the toddler meltdown.

Whether they are obvious tantrums about food and sharing or more left-field tantrums over dogs staring at them or their sandwich not being cut just so, every child has at least one tantrum during their terrible twos which quickly turn into terrible threes, fours, fives and so on.

Here are 15 things every parent knows about tantrums.

Beauty problems are real problems, and anyone who tells you different is a liar. But for British Asian girls beauty problems are much more than spots and mascara goop, but involve things like red moustaches, yellow nails and eyebrow disasters.

1. Foundation issues

Foundation catering to browner complexions sadly isn’t stocked in a low price bracket. This means you spent more on a suitable foundation when you were 15 than your annual bus pass.

2. Ah, pink blush

You’d love to whack on a bit of pink blush but sadly no amount of light application/blending will make it look natural. You’ll stick to the bronzer instead, ta.

3. Neutral, hmm okay
