Fold-2

You’ve folded T-shirts loads of times before, but have you ever done it properly?

If Marie Kondo’s video is anything to go by, chances are probably not.

The one-minute video in which the Japanese ‘cleaning consultant’ shows the true way of the fold has been watched 500,000 times.

In the clip, Kondo, 30, demonstrates how to fold a short-sleeved top using her ‘magic tidying’ KonMari Method.

She says it helps you simplify, organise, and store things in the best way possible.

To be fair, she is a good person to consult, seeing as she has written a book called The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up, which has sold over 4.8 million copies.

Periods are messy.

You can say Aunt Flo’s coming to town all you like but that flow is actually a load of blood pouring from your womb in an attempt to ruin your nicest new undies.

Not only is the actual period itself a messy whirl of blood, cramps and emotions but it has the habit of creating havoc in your bag what with a load of loose tampons roaming wild.

Sorry, they said what? (Picture: Getty)

Here’s a dad who clearly knows how to parent.

After his six-year-old sought an advance on his pocket money of $20 (because toys), he received an official response from the Bank of Dad rejecting the loan application due to ‘insufficient funds and a history of not doing chores’.

The official rejection letter was shared by Imgur user sonan303 yesterday with the caption: ‘Our 6 y/o asked Dad for an advance on his allowance for a toy. This is the response he got.’

After he rejected his son’s application, the dad, from St Louis,  went on to explain that: ‘furthermore,… Read the full story

Even if you’re dead inside, we dare you not to feel a little lump at the back of your throat when this little boy buries his face in his lost puppy’s fur and whispers ‘Oh Kase, I missed you’.

Little Khane Williams from Lubbock, Texas, was devastated when his puppy Kase went missing in December.

But, after weeks of searching, Kase was found just down the street, where a family had taken him in and kept him warm and fed. Although Kase is microchipped, the family hadn’t realised, so they just looked after him until his owners came looking.

Khane’s mum Paula decided to capture the moment Khane and Kase were reunited… Read the full story

People are loving Mar Ortiz’s body confident message (Picture: Mar Ortiz/Facebook)

Mar Ortiz is one of the stars of US reality show Big Women: Big Love. As well as giving a voice to curvier ladies, she’s a proud Latina and aspiring singer.

She is, she says, a ‘curvy girl in a superficial world’.

Earlier this week, she posted a black and white selfie, showing off her love handles, to her Facebook page.

It’s clearly struck a chord, as it’s now been shared over 31,000 times and liked almost three times as much.

Alongside the picture, she explains how someone recently told her she was losing weight and how the comment surprised her.

You hit snooze eleven times this morning. The sound of your alarm fills you with rage and despair. You’ve tried hiding your phone on the other side of the room before you go to sleep, because getting out of bed is near-impossible.

If this sounds like you, it might be time to upgrade your alarm to something much, much better.

We’re not talking an ocean sounds machine, or one of those artificial sunrise thingamajigs. We are of course talking about a tiny French bulldog puppy.

Look how effectively this one, named Link, wakes up her owner Sean Sarantos (H/T Mashable):

Farts on a plane (Picture: Getty)

The struggle is very real.

Seriously. Planes have been grounded over flatulence.

And, apparently, we do fart more on a flight. According to University of Copenhagen clinical professor Jacob Rosenberg, it’s simple physics.

The average person breaks wind 10 times a day when on the ground. In the air, this is exacerbated by the drop in pressure in the air cabin.

Also, it doesn’t help matters that everyone’s cooped up in a small space.

So, spare a thought for one disgruntled passenger, for whom the flatulence in rows 10 to 12 became so bad,… Read the full story

Kendall Jenner stars as the new face of Mango this month, and as usual looks gorgeous/like a full on supermodel/really, really ridiculously good-looking.

The 20-year-old model of the moment fronts the brand’s latest ‘fast fashion’ campaign, meaning she’ll be one the models showcasing a trend each month for spring/summer.

There’s just one problem. The trend Kendall’s representing? It’s called ‘Tribal Spirit’.

According to WWD, it’s all about ‘ethnic-inspired’ prints inspired by the African Savannah, and Kendall – a white model – has been chosen as ‘a face that best defines’ the trend.

Your new party trick (Picture: SlimJones123/Imgur)

There’s nothing worse than a stale crisp.

But, sometimes – usually at 2am when you’ve woken up covered in orange dust with half a giant bag of Doritos on your lap – you just want to save some for later.

The problem is, not everyone has a clothes peg or a handy bag clip to hand.

Which means soggy Doritos of disappointment for breakfast.

But, there is a solution.

And Imgur user  is here to enlighten us. All you have to do is roll down the top of the bag, fold in the sides and then flip the roll up the opposite way and tuck under.

‘Play like the lady you are.’ (Picture: ladyball)

Hey, ladies. Ever tried to get involved in playing football, but found those hard, heavy footballs too off-putting and, well, manly?

No? Never? Because that would be really weird and women can use the exact same footballs as men?

Oh. Well, anyway. The ladyball is here to save you from all your womanly football-related woes. It’s a special ball designed for women interested in sports.

It’s pink, obviously, has a softer feel ‘for a woman’s grip’, and an ‘eazi-play’ feature, ‘for a woman’s ability.’

There’s only one thing better than photos of cats.

And that’s cats taking photos of themselves.

Meet Manny – he’s the grey tabby that can be found cruising the great outdoors, with his squad of loyal dogs.

He’s also about to school you in the art of taking selfies.

This feline’s catnip is GoPro cameras and whenever he sees ones he’s powerless to resist the urge to take a shot.

Well, if we looked as good as he did, we’d be posting selfies all day long too.

Manspreading has existed since the dawn of public transport. The word has come into existence only recently, and since we’ve become aware of it, it has been the bane of commuters all over.

Now, after years of awkwardly wedging ourselves onto train seats, one man has finally leapt up to the podium to take on a very important task.

No, not ridding the world of the plague of manspreading. That would be too helpful.

Instead, EconoMonitor writer Ash Bennington has teamed up with a data scientist named Mark Skinner, to mansplain and defend the act of manspreading, and thereby… Read the full story

Pregnancy charity Tommy’s has released a thought-provoking video giving an insight into the insensitive things people say to women who have suffered a miscarriage.

The video, which hopes to open up communication and remove social taboos around the subject of miscarriage, is part of a campaign titled #miscourage.

It comes after a recent study of over 6,000 women that found 85% of those who have suffered a miscarriage feel that people do not understand what they have been through.

Some 70% of women actually end up feeling guilty about having a miscarriage.

And 79% say they… Read the full story
