Just a couple of days ago, I wrote about a couple who spend their lives pranking each other for ‘likes’ on Facebook.

The last video saw Jenny Davies, the girlfriend of prankster Brad Holmes, tricking Brad into thinking he’d cheated on her after a night out with his friends.

Many viewers applauded Jenny for the prank – not because it was especially well-executed or creative, but because she’d managed to get her own back after being the brunt of video after video which have seen her either screaming in anger or breaking down in tears, as the result of being ‘pranked’ by Brad.

Like, for example, the infamous video of… Read the full story

In some news that’ll make teenagers say ‘ughhhhh, muuuuuum’, it’s now possible for parents to totally cramp their kids’ dating game and spy on all their Tinder activity.

Which, while a total bummer for teenagers, is probably a pretty good idea considering all the dodgy sh*t going down on dating apps.

Teensafe, a popular phone-monitoring app for parents who want to check up on their kids, just released an update that includes the ability to monitor Tinder use.

Any parent who uses TeenSafe will now be able to see if their child has Tinder, which could be a great way to open up the… Read the full story

Meet Smoothie the cat. She’s pretty and she knows it.

As her name implies, she’s smooooooth. Her fur is long and flowing, with highlights we are seriously jealous of. Her eyes are like sparkling jewels staring into your soul.

One time, we saw Smoothie the cat wearing army pants and flip-flops, so we bought army pants and flip flops.

No one cat should have all this power. But she does. She’s gorgeous. So gorgeous she’s earned 123,000 followers on Instagram.

Smoothie knows her angles.

From Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall’s War on Waste campaign, to Jamie Oliver’s Food Waste campaign, 2016 is all about reducing food waste.

A whopping third of food produced goes straight to waste, while each household throws away £700 of food each year. It’s shocking.

Sure, a lot of food is wasted at a commercial and retail level, but we can do a lot to reduce food waste at home. Sometimes we overbuy fresh food and it goes to waste before we can use it up, or we cook too much, but we also habitually throw away perfectly good food: carrot tops, beetroot leaves, broccoli stalks and squash seeds are all perfectly… Read the full story

If you haven’t guessed already, we love Japan’s annual cherry blossom festival and wish we were there. All the time. It fills us with peace and we wish it could be cherry blossom season all the time.

But sadly, Japan’s cherry blossoms only pop out for around one month each year. From the 1st of April for the next few weeks, flocks of residents and tourists head down to their nearest parks to check out the gloriousness of the cherry blossoms, turning from white to pink as Spring goes on.

Also sad? The fact that if we ever want to see Japan’s cherry blossom festival in… Read the full story

Plagued by the itchy, dry annoyance that is dandruff?

Turns out the answer might be hiding in your bathroom. Like, right now. Go check.

Canadian beauty blogger Farah Dukai – who’s previously recommended rubbing garlic all over your face to prevent acne – has just shared her method for ridding her scalp of flakes: mouthwash.

Listerine, more specifically. She says that her solution will leave your scalp ‘tingly, cool, refreshed’ and most definitely dandruff free.

Farah explains that Listerine has menthol, thymol and methyl salicylate – which all have anti-fungal, anti-septic, and anti-inflammatory properties… Read the full story

Today in ‘everything you love is actually awful’ news: your burger probably has poo in it. Pleasant.

A study by Consumer Reports involved researchers analysing 458lbs of beef from supermarkets. They found that all of it contained ‘bacteria that signified fecal contamination’.

Wait. Let’s just let that sink in for a moment, like ketchup on a prime patty.

ALL the beef had bacteria that aligns with the presence of poo. ALL OF IT. Dear Lord.

Nearly 20% of the beef also contained bacteria C. perfringens (which has been linked to food poisoning), while 1% had been contaminated with salmonella. Oh dear.

Ugh. (Picture: Getty/metro.co.uk)

We all know that moist is a terrible word that should be banned, and never again used to describe cake, burgers, or anything else good in this world.

We don’t really know why it’s a terrible word, to be honest. It just is. Ask the shivers going down our spine if you need confirmation of that.

But it turns out there is an actual reason this particular word has such a strong effect. Or a theory about the reason, at least.

A group of psychologists, lead by professor Paul Thibodeau of Oberlin college, set out to find out what it is about the word… Read the full story

2. What kind of monster stops breakfast at 11.30am? Why is the cooking of eggs time-based at all? Is this some kind of fascist experiment on human desire?

3. The availability of pancakes at any time of day is basically a human right.

4. Maybe I could quit my job and lobby the government full time for the introduction of a Mandatory All Day Breakfast bill. That would be a noble contribution to the society in which I live and eat. I’m not even joking. This is such an important cause.
