Being a new-parent can be a stressful time.

France is opening a wine theme park (complete with a tipsy boat ride)

And you know what helps with stress? Wine. And doughnuts.

One parent thought so when out shopping at Tesco.

Of course, everyone’s entitled to buy what they like – but one person in particular had dropped their receipt in the car park for one man to stumble across, and it gave him a giggle.

The receipt, which included three packets of nappies, doughnuts and wine was posted to The Unmumsy Mum Facebook page, and was dubbed ‘Parenting Essentials’.

Colin the Caterpillar finally gets a girlfriend
Love is in the air (Picture: M&S)

At the grand age of 25, British workers’ favourite birthday guest Colin the Caterpillar has finally started dating.

This week, M&S started selling Connie the Caterpillar, Colin’s slightly fruity plus-one.

These two are total relationship goals.

They’ve already been spotted chilling, side by side, on the shelves (when they’re not attending office birthday parties of course).

Connie is an all butter chocolate sponge roll filled with delicious strawberry flavoured buttercream and topped with sugar love hearts. She’s very popular at parties.

They’re soft, cuddly, and adorable – so why do body rolls get such a bad rap?

It’s silly, really. We love rolls on puppies. We love bread rolls. We love rolling hills. But when they’re on our bodies, we’re always bashing the beauty of a belly roll.

So today, let’s take inspiration from the true icons of body positivity.

These dogs don’t just accept their body rolls, they embrace and love them. They’re confident. They know they look adorable.

One dad has documented his defeat after he took on the role of ‘mum’ after his wife was admitted to hospital following a failed liver.

This receipt sums up the life of every stressed new parent ever

27-year-old father-of-two Brad Kearns told of his parenting struggles in a Facebook post, which came after he found what his wife did day in, day out, wasn’t as easy as it looked.

‘You know when your wife always says ‘I wish I could be the dad’ and you’re like … It’s the same thing…,’ Brad wrote.

‘Well sit back, relax, grab a drink,… Read the full story

You’d expect your child to sneak a doughnut out of the kitchen without your permission.

But your own grandmother? Now, that’s just outrageous.

One poor man, Chris, will never be able to trust his greedy grandmother again after she stole his last doughnut.

It seems, however, the guilt was really eating her alive – and she just couldn’t keep lying to her unknowing grandson.

So, she took it upon herself to bravely admit what she’d done – in an apologetic voicemail.

This is so important. (Picture: gc2b)

The reality of buying and wearing a binder is, for the majority of cisgender people, a struggle we’ve never had to consider. It’s not something we’re aware of, and the limited range of binders on offer is something we’ve never had to deal with.

So, for gender-conforming people, here’s a quick explainer: a binder is a garment that compresses the chest, to squash down breast tissue and create a smoother line under clothing. It’s typically worn by transgender men, gender non-conforming people, or those with chest dysphoria (when you feel a disconnect between who you are and what your chest… Read the full story

Flatmates
The joys of flat sharing (Picture: Getty)

We’ve all done our time with nightmare housemates.

Whether it’s the person who doesn’t grasp the need to wash up, or the one who leaves passive aggressive notes on their food in the fridge, or the one who moves their significant other in to steal your best bubble bath and make you feel awkward in your own living room.

But, after writer Dawn Foster asked Twitter to send her their worst flatmate stories yesterday, we think we got off very lightly.

Warning: these terrible tales include nudity, suspect bowel movements and semen in the sink.

Dawn decided to kick things off with a little reminiscing of her own.

What else would you do with a Bank Holiday Weekend? (Picture: Getty)

When I saw an advert for Clone-A-Willy glow in the dark penis moulds, my first thought was ‘Ha ha I would totally have a go at that!’ Because I am clearly foolish.

This is why, a few days later, I found myself staring down the barrel of a plastic tube of goo on a mission to make my very own personalised penis.

Not my penis, obviously – as a cis-woman I lack such necessary equipment.

The plan was to use the nether regions of a willing volunteer and luckily, I have some very accommodating male friends, one of whom offered his services.

Brave man.

If you’re lucky, it may be this much fun (Picture: Getty)

At some point, when people started to talk about holidays, something inside you – a tiny, faraway voice – told you what a good idea it would be to plan a camping trip.

You clearly lost your mind and forgot everything about the reality of real, British camping.

Be honest, now – how many of the below lies have you told yourself about camping?

1. ‘We’re going to get back to the great outdoors!’

So great, our species dedicated thousands of years to creating indoor spaces to reside in.

2. ‘Cooking on a campfire – wonderful’

Best case scenario, you set fire to the grass. Worst case scenario, it’s too… Read the full story

Does this look delicious to you? Yes? You have lost all hope. (Picture: kenapeay)

If you’ve been anywhere near the internet the last few months, you’ll have noticed something. Something deeply dark and disturbing. Something that’s slowly taking over the food we eat and the meals we Instagram.

I am, of course, talking about rainbows.

Not the lovely, day-improving rainbows you see in the sky. Those are great.

I mean the evil rainbows that have wrecked all the food we knew and loved.

The rainbow food trend has taken over. It has cast all the regular, beige food we held dear – spaghetti, doughnuts, biscuits – into the shadows, making brightly coloured nonsense food the only… Read the full story

Hands up if you live in Croydon?

Hands up if every time you say you live in Croydon, you get a snide comment from someone in the office?

Yep, thought as much.

For us Croydon-ites, there is something rather magical about the place that makes us super proud to live there.

We don’t even know what it is but we feel very protective over ‘The Cronx’.

We are a special little community and as such there are certain things that we only know to be true because we live and breathe CR0.

Things such as:

1. You still haven’t completely got over the fact that they shut Allders

That was a distressing day for everyone.

2. You don’t really understand why everyone outside… Read the full story

Short answer: yes. (Picture: Getty)

Can you get pregnant on your period? It’s a question LOADS of us have googled in a time of crisis. Or confusion. Or a heated debate with friends.

Because it would make total sense if you couldn’t get pregnant while you’re on the rag. When you’re shedding your uterine lining, there’s nothing for eggs to hold on to… so pregnancy can’t happen. Right?

Well, according to all the experts, being on your period most definitely does not magically protect you from unwanted pregnancies. And it’s our casual attitude about the risk of this happening that are so dangerous.

Here’s what you need to know.

1. You may be *less likely* to get pregnant while you’re on your… Read the full story

It’s officially summer. For Brits that means cheap holidays, BBQs and praying for (unlikely) good weather.

Here’s how to stop your iPhone from autocorrecting to ‘ducking’

And, of course, the tennis.

It’s the time when all eyes turn to Andy Murray (and Johanna Konta and Heather Watson of course) to take the Wimbledon title, so often taken from us. Even if he’s won it once already (remember?).

But one of the best parts of the competition for us all is definitely the food. It’s not just not complete without our strawberries and cream.

In the future, instead of craning our necks to get a glimpse of the skies through a tiny porthole, aircraft cabins could come with floor-to-ceiling windows and sunroofs.

That’s if this revolutionary new plane cabin design, offering stunning panoramic views of the skies, catches on.

Currently, the new design concept, called Kyoto Airship, is being proposed by Brazilian airline Embraer for a refit of its collection of luxury Lineage 1000 private planes – so, yeah, it might be a while until it finds its way onto Easyjet, but, still, we can dream.

Cuddling

The professional cuddling business is booming apparently.

Lonely millennials are now forking out around £55 an hour to spoon with strangers.

According to New York professional cuddling service cuddlist.com, which now employs more than 40 professional cuddlers and fields around 200 enquiries a week about hugs for hire, the service is growing in popularity.

Saskia Fredericks, a 41-year-old married actress and masseuse from New York has been using cuddlist.com for around a year. She lives in the city, while her husband Arthur, 45, lives in Connecticut. Look, your taco brunch birthday party last year was cute. Great effort.

But it is nothing compared to three-year-old Raegan’s birthday party. Because Raegan’s birthday party had the best theme of all: Beyoncé.

Raegan is the daughter of social media celeb King Keraun, who did all the necessary work to make sure Raegan’s birthday party was as Beyoncé-fied as possible.

He invited Raegan’s guestlist to ‘slay with Rae’. The dress code was inspired by Beyoncé and her dancers’ Superbowl performance. Raegan’s cousin was kindly asked to dress as Jay Z.
