It’s the summer holidays and sometimes you have to make your own entertainment.

So, Kevin Manion from Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, decided he would spend his time start slowly replacing every family photo in the house with a different picture of actor Steve Buscemi.

He swapped one picture out a day and waited to see how long his parents took to notice.

His sister Clare was in on the prank and shared some of the pics on Twitter yesterday, explaining: ‘My brother has been replacing family photos with pics of Steve Buscemi and my mom hasn’t noticed.’

Brexit happened and no-one knows what comes next.

But right now, us Brits are still part of the EU so it’s time to start making the most of cheap flights and easy access – and where better to start than Vienna?

Think of Vienna and you may think of cake, the waltz, and opera.

But the capital city of Austria is more than just those things – and with centuries of history to explore, a former Empress of Austria who was basically the Kim Kardashian of her day, and a wine tavern on every corner, this is why Vienna should be at the top of your travel bucket list.

Anytime you couldn’t sign on to MSN = breaking out into a cold sweat

1. iPod wiped

Back in the 00s, the iPod was a bit in its infancy, and you could never guess exactly when it would decide to crash and wipe all your songs.

But most likely this would happen after you’d finished categorising all your music perfectly with all of the correct song titles, and after several epic on-the-go playlists.

RIP all those on-the-go playlists.

2. Ruining your Timberlands

Because it was the era of streetwear (which bordered on chav style) becoming fashionable you had somehow convinced your poor unsuspecting parents to invest in a pair of Timberlands for you, for practical reasons of… Read the full story

Teaching is hard – no one disputes that these days. First, there’s the omnipresent threat of Ofsted. Then they had to deal with Michael Gove. Who was then replaced by Nicky Morgan. If that’s not enough to send someone round the bend, then what is?

Well, it turns out teachers are getting some stress release.

A new survey of 1,500 people has found that they’re the most likely professionals to have an affair with their colleagues.

Lawyers, pilots and journalists were the next most likely – with long working hours and work-related stress cited as the main cause for their infidelities.

Believe it or not, 27% of teachers admitted to having… Read the full story

We know that bees have been under threat for a while due to changes in the UK countryside.

But one company has now decided to take matters into their own hands – by building the world’s first luxury bee hotel.

Taylors of Harrogate created it after it was found that there are more bee species found in cities than in rural areas.

The tea makers commissioned research into bee habitats as well as Brits’ awareness into what a decline in bee populations can have on food production, because bees are important in the development of fruit and herbal teas.

Union Jack flags on pork pies as patriotic gesture for jubilee street party celebrations in the UK

The users of Reddit have had the nerve to question Great Britain, the land of pork pies, fish and chips and a few other cliches.

If you're dating a teacher you might be in for some trouble

Rather than simply rating how hot/ugly the British are, or discussing the worst places to go, they’ve chosen another way entirely:

They’re discussing the things they hate. Any my there are a few.

Oh good.

Apparently, it’s too hot here

Hold up. This changes everything.

Say goodbye the days of sore arms and accidentally whacking people in the head with your selfie stick. The day of the Goat Case is here.

The Goat Case is a fancy phone case that magically sticks to flat surfaces, so you’ll never have to hold it up to take a picture – you can just stick it to a wall, set it to self-timer, and get on with your posing without faffing around trying to lean your phone against things.

It’s not just for full-body selfies, mind you.

The case would also be perfect if you need to… Read the full story

Look, I’ll level with you, I haven’t yet managed to play Pokemon Go because I have an iPhone 4.

But if I could play it I would and, what’s more, I’d be using it to get free Pokemon Go cocktails in London.

M Victoria Street near Victoria tube station in London has created four cocktails inspired by Pokemon.

Because you know what’s (probably) better than playing Pokemon Go?

Playing ever so slightly tipsy Pokemon Go and having someone else pick up the bar tab.

Hang on, I hear you cry, surely no mixologist could possibly hope to recreate the wonder of Nintendo graphics in alcohol form?

Well, judge for yourself –

We all know that magazine features about Hollywood starlets written by middle-aged men can go horribly wrong.

The #WeWearWhatWeWant trend will inspire you to forget dumb style 'rules'

When you’re describing actress Margot Robbie as ‘beautiful, not in that otherworldly, catwalk way but in a minor knock-around key, a blue mood, a slow dance’, or saying she has a ‘lost kind of purity’, or saying she ‘can be sexy and composed, even while naked’, then the internet will react strongly.

Vanity Fair’s Rich Cohen was blasted as ‘sexist and patronising’ after it was published and a thousand parodies were created, mimicking… Read the full story

I was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis (UC), a form of inflammatory bowel disease that affects the large intestine, rectum and comes with a lot of nasty side effects.

Pokemon Go is having a huge impact on mental health

Alongside UC is Crohn’s disease, another form of IBD that affects the entire digestive system.

Both conditions can result in major surgeries, removal of parts of the digestive system, and you’ll often find people with IBD are heavily medicated on steroids.

Unfortunately, IBD is a life-long illness and is incurable and even with surgery, you still face physical and psychological… Read the full story

How to fool your friends with some homegrown selfies (Picture: Three/Solent News)

Don’t have the money to go abroad? Don’t like flying? Don’t really like your mates that much?

Well, apparently there are loads of scenic spots in the UK where you can fool your friends into thinking you’re thousands of miles away – with the help of an artfully staged selfie.

You know that sun-drenched shot of you and bae on Italy’s Amalfi Coast? That’s actually Portmeirion in Gwynedd, North Wales.

Or how about a stunning shot in front of the Taj Mahal…taken in Brighton?

You get the idea.

Unless you’re the calmest, most easy-going person in the world, it’s pretty inevitable that you’ve experienced an argument with your other half.

Perhaps you’ve only had one or two, perhaps it’s a little more regular. But as long as it’s not weighing the relationship down, it’s all healthy (most of the time)

Unless you’re using this particular phrase, that is. Apparently, it may be exactly what’s fuelling the fire and leads to a lot of arguments.

In Psychology Today, expert and couples therapist Jeffrey Bernstein says the word ‘should’ should be avoided at all costs.

Just some ducks in Lederhosen (Picture: Mercury Press)

We’ve seen chickens in 70s sweater vests. We’ve seen ponies in onesies. We thought we’d seen it all.

But we were wrong.

Meet Poppy and Peach, a pair of baby Indian runner ducks, who like to wear Lederhosen.

Proud owner Hannah Nicholls, 24, from Great Bardfield, Essex, adopted the two ducklings 10 weeks ago and now they’re very much part of the family.

As well has having three outdoor baths a day, the house ducks enjoy snuggling on the sofa and watching TV.

If the freakshake trend proved anything (other than the fact that we all need to caaaalm down a bit on the sugar), it’s that people love taking one not-very-healthy thing and piling it with other not-very-healthy things.

It’s great. It’s fun. Each tower of unhealthiness is very difficult to eat and leaves us with tummy aches after we have a few bites, but who cares? It looks cool, and that’s all that matters.

And so we present the latest addition to the towering food trend. It’s big. It’s bacon-y. It’s the Bourbon Burgel.

Starbucks is the home of the Nice Guy. And Nice Guys love fedoras. So it seems completely absurd to think that up until just now, their baristas couldn’t wear them.

But now, the Seattle-based chain has released its 2016 Dress Code Lookbook and it seems like fedora lovers everywhere have been vindicated.

The update comes after a staff petition was launched last month, claiming that lack of labour at Starbucks was ‘killing morale’.

Childbirth sucks for men, too. (Picture: Alisha Baxter)

We know, we know. Childbirth can be a horrific experience for women, marked by hours of pushing, crying, and public pooing. It’s awful (and a magical joy. Right? Right?)

But spare a thought for the poor men, okay? They’re going through serious troubles during the magic of childbirth, too. And they don’t even get treated to a nice cup of ice chips or gas and air.

23-year-old Alisha Baxter just went through childbirth. But she doesn’t want you to worry about her experience – she wants to highlight the challenges her husband, Jive, had to deal… Read the full story
