Hotel Amour, in Paris, takes inspiration from Japan’s love hotels in terms of its design (Picture: Oyster.co.uk)

Many hotels shy away from the obvious fact that some couples are using their rooms as their own little private dens of vice.

Others, however, welcome those planning a dirty weekend with open arms and a free tube of lube.

You can find sex themed hotels both in Britain and abroad, and each has its own fantastic and fun personality.

So, whether you’re looking for nookie in New York or hot stuff in High Wycombe, here’s just some of the sex themed hotels in Britain and abroad.

Dog contractr
The reluctant dad decided to draw up a contract before letting a dog into the house (Picture: RJohnstone13/Reddit)

As anyone who spent their childhood wishing for a dog – and putting it on the top of every Christmas list – will know, you would literally sign your life away for a puppy.

So, when this dad created a long and [perhaps not quite legally] binding ‘family dog contract’, his three kids were only too happy to agree to his terms.

The ‘reluctant’ dad drafted the contract two years ago, presumably after being worn down by years of badgering from his children (then 10, 11 and 13-years-old respectively), but it was only shared with… Read the full story

Nope. (Picture: Instagram/fooddeco)

Look, food bloggers, I get that you thinks carbs are the devil (they’re not, by the way). I also get that you have an obsession with avocados that may be beyond your control.

But this time you’ve gone too damn far. This time you’ve messed with something the world holds dear, and you need to bloody well stop.

The new food trend, apparently, is replacing the delicious buns that gently cradle your burger patty with slices of avocado. Yup. Skinned avocado, carefully placed around a burger, as if green mush can replace the soft, pillow-like comfort of a sesame seed bun.

Stripping has always divided audiences: Does it exploit women? Does it encourage men to go astray? Is it actually an art form like burlesque – or something much seedier?

But there is one group of strippers who have clubbed together to challenge these sorts of preconceptions, to champion the rights of their colleagues and to protect their art.

And they’re hosting a wake.

The East London Strippers Collective (ELSC) is an ethical organisation of strippers and lap dancers in London and the UK.

Founded in 2014, they seek to challenge societal attitudes towards strip clubs by creating their own working conditions and empowering dancers.

You can’t unsee this. Sorry (Picture: Tested)

Two guys just created a lifelike Lego figure costume and took it to Comic-Con 2016. And now no one can sleep at night.

If you thought Graham, the car crash dummy guy was terrifying, he’s got nothing on ‘Creepyfig’.

Special effects make-up artist Frank Ippolito likes to bring imaginary characters into the real world and, apparently, he’s ‘been thinking about this for a long time’, so, with the help of the guys at Tested, he made his dream a reality.

His dream. Your nightmare. Definitely not awesome.

Meet Creepyfig, the real life Lego man. He has a 14lb head.

Close up of birth control pills

You’d think that with all the rigmarole of actually getting hold of the morning after pill, it would be universally effective.

Yet new research has discovered that some emergency contraceptives might be less powerful when taken by women weighting more than 74.8 kilos.

That’s 11st 7lb.

And the average woman in Britain weighs 11st.

giphy

Oh, it gets worse.

Back in 2013, the drug Norlevo added a warning onto its packaging stating that it was less effective for women who weighed 165lbs (11st 8lb).

And it also said that it wasn’t effective at all for women over 176lbs. That’s 12st 5lb.

Instagram Photo

OK, that was three years ago. But now a new study has reopened the conversation about weight-vs-emergency contraception.

It looked at 10 women aged between 18 and 35. Five were of a ‘normal weight’ and five were considered ‘obese’ – according to their BMI measurements.

The flower crown is dead (unless it’s in Snapchat filter form and worn by a cat). Long live the mermaid crown.

Created by Chelsea Shiels, a 27-year-old from Melbourne, Australia, the mermaid crown is a headband decorated by shells, gems, and stones.

They’re the next big then when it comes to adorning your head, and are super Instagrammable.

Chelsea told Cosmopolitan that she started out making flower crowns, but began experimenting with seashells because of her dream of being Ariel.

After Lydia Shelly blocked a man on Twitter, he insisted on having the last word by finding her address and sending a racist postcard to her workplace.

Lydia is a lawyer and Muslim community advocate in Sydney, Australia.

She recently wrote a comment piece on Waleed Aly’s response to TV personality Sonia Kruger’s call for the halt of Muslim migration to Australia.

When Kruger made her comments on the Today Show last week, a Mr Ford messaged Lydia on Twitter and asked her what she believed would be an appropriate response.

Binge eating disorder: What is it and where can you get help?

The first time I experienced what I’d now refer to as binge eating, I was about six years old.

My mum would keep Penguin bars in the cupboard for my school lunchbox, and when she wasn’t around I would sneak into the kitchen, grab a pack of eight and scurry back to my room to eat them all in quick succession, shoving the wrappers behind my dresser or inside my sock drawer.

Eventually, when she realised what I was doing, my mum hid the food I was likely to binge on around the house so she could ration it out – stashes I steadfastly searched for, and always found.

And my experience… Read the full story

Science says sandwiches are wrecking your diet

New study says sandwiches are ruining your diet

Trying to cut calories? You might want to rethink your work lunch.

A new study published in Public Health has found that people who eat sandwiches are consuming around 100 calories more than normal.

Which doesn’t sound too bad, but eating a sandwich also ups your daily sodium and fat levels. Oh dear.

The researchers explain that the majority of sandwiches contain bits of meat (think chicken, turkey, bacon), which are higher in calories, fat, and sodium, and hardly any vegetables other than the occasional shred of lettuce. So it’s really not the bread that’s the issue.

In what sounds like a biblical miracle, babies are being given the chance to ‘walk’ out of wombs. And it’s all thanks to a new trend called ‘gentle caesarean’.

Unlike regular C-sections where mothers are cut open and the obstetrician pulls the child from the opening, these natural caesareans allow the baby to make its own way out.

Childbirth educator, Sophie Messanger, posted a video on Facebook earlier this week showing how babies can release themselves from the womb.

Since Tuesday, it’s racked up over 2.4 million views.

‘A friend had the most gorgeous, gentle cesarean yesterday,’ she writes.

‘It was quite a journey because her local hospital refused to entertain any of… Read the full story

Dad jokes.

You can’t live with them but it just wouldn’t feel right to live without them.

And if your dad doesn’t make dad jokes, is he really your dad?

One dad has just set some stiff competition after telling a joke so bad it was actually pretty incredible.

Twitter user Jess tweeted the ‘joke’, which was told in a text exchange after her dad had finished up some shopping at Tesco.

There are still good people in the world. (Picture: Dallas French)

Going out for dinner with a baby is tough.

There’s loads of preparation beforehand, from figuring out if the restaurant has baby seats to calling up to ask if they’re okay with you using their microwave to heat up a jar of baby food.

Then once you get there, there’s the worry that your baby will cry for the entire evening, accidentally break a plate, or eat something they shouldn’t.

Oh, and that’s all while dealing with judgmental stares from other people. It’s enough to put you off entirely.

At the age of 19, former model Breanne Rice was diagnosed with vitiligo, an autoimmune disorder that causes permanent pale, white patches to develop on the skin due to the lack of a chemical called melanin in the body.

New study says sandwiches are ruining your diet

Science says sandwiches are wrecking your diet

It can affect any area of the skin, but most commonly occurs on skin that has been exposed to the sun, such as the face, neck and hands.

Breanne had spent the start of her modelling career worrying about her skin, as the condition had spread rapidly and had caused her to lose over half of the pigment in her face.

She spent 12 years hiding behind thick layers of makeup to hide the lost pigmentation, putting on a thick layer of concealer to make it look as though she had pigment,… Read the full story

Another day, another Kylie Cosmetics saga.

First, bloggers were slating her glosses and metal lip kits.

Now, she’s been accused of ripping off another eye shadow kit for her newly launched Kyshadow range.

The eye shadows only launched on Tuesday and naturally, sold out in seconds.

The bronze palette consists of nine matte shadows, going from an off-white hue (called Jasper) to dark brown (Obsidian).

A couple of days ago, New Zealand-based beauty vlogger Shannnxo tweeted a picture to her 262k followers of Kylie’s new offering next to her own eye shadow palette.
