A first-time mum died just ten weeks after giving birth to her daughter because her pregnancy masked the symptoms of her terminal cancer.

Laurel Cohen, 38, had experienced abdominal pain, breathlessness and constipation, which could be considered normal to experience during pregnancy. Both mum and baby seemed healthy at each checkup and scan.

However, her stomach pains grew worse and, eventually, by her 35th week, she was unable to go into work and was admitted to the Royal Free Hospital in Hampstead.

It was only when Laurel and her husband Dave pushed for further scans that they discovered a huge lump on her liver.

A brave dad has given his daughter the ultimate gift – the gift of life. 

After suffering with kidney failure, three-year-old Esme was forced to spend 14 months on dialysis – 12 hours a day, seven days a week.

This is Mimi, an adorable 11-year-old shih tzu. When Mimi went to the hairdresser recently, she just wanted a trim. She got a short back and sides instead.

Mimi is all of us after a bad trip to the hairdresser.

The little dog belongs to Josh Pitruzzella, a pre-med student from New York.

Mimi goes for regular trims that can cost up to $150 (£115). But on her most recent trip, Josh’s dad decided to see if he could shave some money off the dog grooming bills by getting them to cut Mimi’s hair really short.

Aaaand yet again, a brand gets a bit keen with the Photoshop and gets called out.

Maybe brands should learn from this, and stop excessively editing the bodies of their models. Just an idea.

This time it’s Victoria’s Secret being named and shamed for some alleged overzealous airbrushing. Again.

It’s not quite as bad as that time they completely Photoshopped out a model’s bum cheek, but it’s still pretty shameful.

We all know that we should drink plenty of water to stay hydrated, as we’re constantly being told we’re not drinking enough.

The government’s Eatwell guide recommends drinking six to eight 200ml glasses of water per day, but a study last year by the Natural Hydration Council revealed that 59.4% of people in the UK only drink one serving of water or less a day, and 80.8% only drink two servings.

In spite of this, we could also be at risk of consuming too much water.

The latest dog to take the Internet by storm is a tiny chihuahua with googly little eyes and an absolutely ginormous tongue.

Chloe Kardoggian lives in New York and has a penchant for dressing up as lobsters (among other things).

The 12-year-old pooch was a ‘senior rescue’ and she uses her social media accounts to promote the idea of adopting fellow seniors rather than buying puppies.
