Grabbed a banana for breakfast? Feeling all proud because you’ve managed to actually eat breakfast AND tick off one of your five a day in the space of five minutes?

Well, we’re sorry, but your breakfast choice is actually rubbish. Stop feeling so smug.

According to the experts, grabbing a banana on the way out of the house isn’t actually the brilliant breakfast choice we all think it is.

In fact, your breakfast banana could be totally throwing off your healthy diet.

It’s your birthday, or something. (Picture: Getty)

We all pride ourselves on being honest, authentic people.

Until the ‘congratulations on your new job’ card for your office nemesis lands on your desk.

Sure, you’re tempted to write ‘so glad to hear I’ll never have to speak to you ever again!’.

But you control yourself. You find a tiny empty spot left on the card, and fill it with a message telling them how much you’ve LOVED working together and how sad you are to see them go.

You’re a massive liar. We all are. It’s okay.

If colleagues were brutally honest in leaving cards, it might look… Read the full story

Yes, all the Olympic athletes breaking records and winning medals are very impressive.

But let’s all just take a moment out of our awe and amazement for their physical accomplishments to appreciate the hard work of another group of key players at this year’s Olympics in Rio: the people running around handing out condoms.

Mythical Beasts: Photographer Captures The Majestic Beauty Of Maine Coons Picture: Robert Sijka LINK: ttps://www.instagram.com/robert_sijka/ http://felis.gallery/ https://www.facebook.com/felis.gallery
Stunning. (Picture: Robert Sijka)

Behold the Maine Coon. Maine Coons are the largest breed of domestic cat in the world. Seriously, they’re huge. Sometimes they get mistaken for bobcats and the police get called.

They’re also stunning. Their giant size and fluffy, shaggy fur makes Maine Coons look like majestic wildcats.

It’s a good thing that the majority of them are sweet little dumplings that love a nice tummy stoke, otherwise we’d be a bit intimidated.

Photographer Robert Sijka has made it his mission to capture the beauty and fierceness of Maine Coons. And yes, he’s nailed it.

Having a happy, fulfilled relationship shouldn’t feel like work.

So we’re SO on board with new research that suggests that the key to a happy relationship could involve lying down and doing nothing.

A new study published in the Journal of Family Psychology says that getting enough sleep has a significant effect on the happiness of relationships.

Researchers studied 68 newlywed heterosexual couples from Ohio, asking them questions over the course of seven days about the amount of sleep they’d had the previous night, their satisfaction in their relationship in specific areas (such as sex, affection, and conflict resolution, rated on a scale from one to seven),… Read the full story

So pretty. (Picture: CityHub Amsterdam)

Size isn’t everything.

Sure, if you’re a chronic over-packer and like to spread out like a starfish on a giant hotel bed, a tiny room might not be your idea of the perfect holiday resting point.

But if you’re more of a minimalist, a capsule hotel is the dream.

Originally created in Japan, capsule hotels take the basic idea of ‘hey, I need somewhere to sleep’ and simplify it, getting rid of all the frills of your average hotel experience and stripping it back to just what you need: a small, sleek room with space for you to rest (and not much else).

But don’t imagine a tiny pod… Read the full story

We ended up in Dublin, but it could have been one of many other European destinations (Picture: Getty)

When we travel, we’re used to poring through brochures and websites, picking the perfect place and making all the arrangements ourselves. Not this time. This time we were going on a mission.

The email set it out. Be at the airport for 9.30am. Bring a passport, and hand luggage. Await further instructions.

We did, and at 9.30 exactly our phone pinged.

Destination: Dublin.

It sounds like something Jason Bourne would do, but we were travelling for pleasure, not fleeing the forces of darkness. A new company from the people behind Expedia, Surprise Trips, is offering mystery trips for travellers who want… Read the full story

It hasn’t been that long since you’ve been been on a date, right?

Just a couple of weeks? Wait. No. Months, maybe. A year? Almost? Maybe?

Sh*t. It’s been ages.

The long days of crush-free life stretch out behind and ahead of you. You haven’t had some casual flirtation since winter. Your dating life isn’t even in its usual state of shambles. It’s just a wide open desert, free of fancy dinners and going out for drinks.

It’s been a while. That’s all.

And it’s a bit of a struggle.

1. You don’t really understand why it’s been so long since you’ve had any form of romantic excitement

Have you heard the news? Men can be bisexual, it’s not a phase, confusion or gay men telling half-truths.

There are genuine gents out there, like me, who like to date both genders.

Bisexuality is more common than you might think.

YouGov recently found that 43 per cent of 18-24-year-olds did not identify as gay or straight.

You don’t need a GSCE in maths to realise that makes bisexuality the second most common sexuality in the UK (in that demographic).

But how do women feel about dating bisexual men? We asked two, one on each side of the… Read the full story

Looking at me now, you might see a girl who is confident, independent, and enjoys work and life – but it hasn’t always been this way.

In 2013 I was suffering from panic attacks on a daily basis, with anxiety and depression which left me incapable to leave my bed, never mind my house.

I had no confidence in my abilities whatsoever.

I quit my job, dropped out of university, and I began to despise myself and the life I was living.

On days where things looked like they were on the up, I felt intense… Read the full story

This is Joseph Schooling. Aka, the Olympian who got away.

As all Tinder daters know, there’s nothing more soul-destroying than accidentally swiping left when you meant to swipe right. You get a little trigger-happy with that left index finger and suddenly Mark, 23, with the cute dog, is but a distant memory.

Which is why we can all relate to Sabryna Salazar, a 20-year-old Psychology student from Austin, Texas.

On Friday, Joseph Schooling, 21, from Singapore won Olympic gold in the 100m butterfly event, ahead of Michael Phelps.
