After having a screensaver of some mountains on his phone for two years, this guy accidentally found himself inside the picture.

Or, as one online commentator puts it: ‘Guy sets out on journey to find his inner self, finally succeeds.’

American traveller and Redditor xbshooter posted a picture of himself with his real-life screensaver in the background, writing: ‘After having it for 2 years, I accidentally FOUND my phone background the other day near Santa Cristina, Italy!’

Although he says the weather was a little duller on the day he visited than it is in the picture he found on Google, it’s definitely the same place, right down… Read the full story

What better way to celebrate your 80th birthday than a hell-raising motorbike ride, accompanied by 30 other bikers?

That’s exactly how one great grandma spent her special day last week when she was surprised during her regular Saturday shopping trip.

Two years ago, Sheila Hurst had told her daughter Sam that she’d love to ride a trike motorcycle.

Following the family’s food shop in Bolton last weekend, they told her that their car had broken down.

And just round the corner, nearly 30 bikers were ready to take Sheila on the ride of her life – accompanied by pink balloons and flags.

Due to her trans status, Jamie found it hard to forge romantic relationships, and vowed to remain single until she was able to be loved as a woman.

After three years of being single, she finally met Harry Matthews, 24, at a trans training programme – which they both say they… Read the full story

In the world of the Dubai super hotel, it’s not enough to have a fancy restaurant, a pool and a gym. Now you need a rooftop infinity pool and a giant aquarium in the lobby at the very least.

Oh, and a 75,000-square foot rainforest in the basement, which has trees that spray out mist.

Welcome to the Rosemont Hotel & Residences, the newest Hilton Worldwide hotel, set to open in Dubai in 2018.

And welcome to the jungle. In the middle of the desert.

In news that will come as a shock to no one at all, it’s been proven that people who post workout selfies are just really, really into themselves.

A new study by Brunel University London has shown that people who post about their diet, exercise and accomplishments are ‘typically narcissists’.

Well, we could’ve told you that.

Psychologists at the university collected data from 555 Facebook users, to examine the personality traits and motives that influenced what they chose to write about in their status updates.

If you’ve never heard of a Roomba, it’s an automatic vacuum that moves around the house clearing up crumbs in your wake.

Jesse had one in Breaking Bad. But that’s perhaps not the best advert for them.

And, to be honest, neither is this epic tale from his namesake Jesse Newton, from Little Rock, Arkansas.

Arkansas Jesse took to Facebook last week to issue a warning about what can happen when you combine a new puppy and a Roomba in the same household. Basically, it’s a total sh*tstorm.

If the stories are to be believed, we’ve all been eating everything all wrong, all our lives. And the latest thing we’ve all failed to eat properly is the humble ice lolly.

If you’re sick of ice lollies melting all over your fingers, or your lolly inevitably falling off the stick, experts have come up with a failsafe technique – just in time for this week’s hot spell.

Apparently just under half of all Brits eat ice lollies by sucking them but according to food futurologist (no, us neither) Lyndon Gee, a combination of small bites from the bottom-up and licking is the best formula to stop lollies… Read the full story

If you’re in the habit of engaging your mouth before your brain, you will relate to this latest Twitter hashtag.

#WhyDidISayThat started trending after The Tonight Show’s Jimmy Fallon asked viewers to share their most embarrassing foot-in-mouth moments.

But, now it’s taken on a life on its own.

At least it’s proof that we all say really dumb things sometimes –  sometimes, it’s just a reflex, sometimes it’s an attempt to fill the awkward silence and sometimes we’re just that stupid.

But one woman managed to do just that, by capturing her last five months with her grandma in a heart-rending series of photographs, entitled ‘My grandmother’s last months’.
