Trichloroethylene
Found in: printing inks, paints, varnishes, adhesives, paint remover
Can cause: dizziness, headache, nausea, vomiting, followed by drowsiness and coma
Formaldehyde
Found in: paper bags, facial tissues, paper towels, napkins, plywood paneling, synthetic fabrics
Can cause: irritation to nose, mouth and throat, as well as swelling of the larynx and lungs
Benzene
Found in: plastics, resins, dyes, detergent, glue, furniture wax
Can cause: irritation to eyes, drowsiness, dizziness, increased heart rate, headaches, confusion, and in extreme cases unconsciousness
Xylene
Found in: printing, rubber, leather
