What’s not to love? (Picture: Getty Images)

People may be moving in their droves to edgy east and south, but deep down everyone knows west is best.

There might not be as many clubs, but isn’t it much nicer sitting down in a lovely pub without grime on the walls?

Spacious, green, cultured and diverse, here are 21 reasons why west London is better than everywhere else.

1. Hipsters rarely venture this far away from their habitat, making west London far more chill and less pretentious

2. Which means we don’t have endless pop ups, so we can find a favourite coffee shop or bar and know it will still be there next week

3. People rave about south and east London’s nightlife, but west London is… Read the full story

Who hasn’t done this? (Picture: Getty)

Sometimes being a normal human being can get tiring.

But luckily we all have a bunch of weird quirks that we love doing in secret.

Things we all do when no one else is around… right?

Here are 15 weird things we all do in secret.

1. Memorise songs before a night out

You can’t be shown up on the dancefloor when the latest T-Swift song comes on, and you don’t know a single word.

Therefore you set aside at least 30 minutes before a night out in order to memorise the key songs that may get played.

2. Imagine absurd scenarios

There is no better way to liven up queuing for your morning coffee than by imagining you’re an undercover spy.

Oh, and that you’re waiting for a… Read the full story

The quarter life crisis affects the best of us.

Thirty-somethings may find it hilarious we have anything to worry about. But we do.

Here’s 20 everyday worries all 20-somethings have.

1. What if my mum finds out how much is actually on my credit card?

2. Is the ‘see who’s looked at your profile’ on Facebook thing real?

Will it become clear how long I spend stalking my ex-boyfriend. And his new girlfriend. And her best mate. And their neighbour?

3. My mate’s little sister just got her GCSE results. She was just in nursery. Why am I so old?

4. My boss is definitely going to rumble how long I spend on LinkedIn, isn’t he?

Each time your birthday or Christmas came round you nervously pulled back the wrapping paper hoping that underneath would be the dream present you had circled in the Argos catalogue the week before.

But chances are you probably never got any of the really cool things you wanted, and to this day you’re still not quite over this.

There’s no business like show business.

And even being on the fringes of the action, working as an extra, can be glamorous and exciting.

Sometimes. Most of the time it’s a lot of waiting around.

Here’s 12 other things you only know if you’re an extra.

1. Contouring

Watching the makeup lady transform your face can be truly terrifying, especially when she gets to the part where she draws on brown lines round your nose, cheek bones and side of your face then wanders off to get something.

2. The games

It’s amazing what boredom, innovation and a large pile of ketchup sachets can produce.

3. Your phone is always on silent

Friends always text as there’s no point calling – you never turn your ringer back on.

Turning an innovate idea into a business is long, difficult but very rewarding journey. Here are some things I’ve learned along the way…

1. It’s harder than it looks…

It takes a huge amount of hard work to get a start-up off the ground. You’ll often have to work 60+ weeks and then give it some more.

2. …And it doesn’t get any easier

Even when you’ve got it all off the ground, the new challenges keep coming. Things like hiring the right people and keeping the momentum up keep you on your toes.

3. Being responsible for other people’s pay cheques is terrifying

Every decision you make has more consequences.

4. You need to be able to do it all

What do you do when the bride wants to stick with tradition, but the groom wants to indulge his love of superheroes?

You get a superhero cake in disguise of course. Meet the Clark Kent of cakes.

When Bedfordshire couple Kia and Billy Bunning started planning their August 14 wedding ‘on a frosty day’ in 2014, they agreed they wanted the cake to reflect both sides of their personalities.

Fortunately, they found the perfect solution, courtesy of Julia Baker (Baker by name…) from Tier By Tier in Milton Keynes, who made them a totally unique ‘double take’ cake. From the front, it’s a traditional wedding cake. From the back, it’s a mix of Marvel and DC… Read the full story

Competition for jobs out there is tough, and we’re all guilty of telling a few fibs on our CV.

We’ve all embellished the truth just a little, so we can make ourselves seem more impressive and skilled than we actually are.

Have you ever stated that you’re a whizz at Excel, or you speak foreign languages, and enjoy team work, when quite clearly none of these things actually apply to you?

Well, good luck when you actually have to demonstrate these things to your boss.

1. Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel

Well, this isn’t something you see every day.

We don’t know whether this Shiba Inu is actually wedged in a hedge, or whether he’s just stuck his head and front legs through, but, either way, he seems pretty happy about it.

Three pictures of the dog, nestled high up in a bush overlooking the road, were shared on Twitter by Japanese user @yamamochi223 last week with the caption ‘It’s stuck!’.

While they’ve since been removed (maybe to spare the pup’s blushes), they were shared over 12,000 times and favourited over 11,000 before they were taken down. And, fortunately, a screengrab of the tweet still exists.

Two grooms had an innovative way of ensuring their big day still got its big white dress – by asking all their bridesmaids to wear wedding dresses.

Newlyweds Derii Rogers, 28, and Ben Wood, 25, from Wales, knew keeping their fleet of 10 bridesmaids happy, and finding a dress to suit them all, would be a struggle.

But, fortunately, they came up with a genius idea that kept the peace (almost!) and ensured their special day still got its big dress reveal.

McDonald’s has found itself at the centre of a social media storm after its latest Good Times ad was slammed by a very p*ssed off dad.

The ad shows a kid’s parents shutting him down every time he tries to have some fun.

Little Harry is told off for attempting to jump in a muddy puddle, for over-enthusiastically checking out an exhibit in a museum and for bouncing on the bed in a home store (we’ve all been there, Harry).

His mum stops him just as he’s about to do a stunt on his bike too.

His life is basically a no fun zone.

He has a sweet job as a professional pancake artist and, yes, we’re envious too.

This cartoon-inspired pancake art is so flippin’ good

Dancakes has more than earned the absurd the title, because he flips a pancake like no other using just coloured batter and a skilful hand.

Previously the pancake man has cooked up a storm with his Avengers: Age Of Ultron Heroes, but now he’s used his creativity to make our favourite Pixar characters.

Canadian model Winnie Harlow was bullied while she was growing up because of her vitiligo, a skin condition which causes white patches to develop on her face and body.

But, these days, rather than being teased for her distinctive looks, she is celebrated for them.

Earlier this year, she was named the face of two major spring/summer 2015 fashion campaigns – for Desigual and Diesel.

Her growing fame has seen women, some of whom are white, paying homage online. They use makeup to mimic her skin condition and then post the pictures on Instagram and Twitter.

However, the trend has sparked a backlash from social media users who claim it’s a form of ‘blackface’.
