We all did many questionable things when we were younger.

No matter how sensible we are now, most of have been there (and some of us still are).

So, in illustrations that will resonate with all of us flawed humans, artist Joanne Sarginson has taken a look back at the times her teenage self was most illogical.

Some of them are ridiculously relatable.

There was the time when she didn’t understand why her attraction to a boy she’d never spoken to made no sense at all

In this Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2016 photo, Jung Myoung Sook, 61, holds her puppies she rescued at a shelter in Asan, South Korea. In the country, where dogs are considered a traditional delicacy and have only recently become popular as pets, Jungís love for her canine friends is viewed by some as odd. But others see her as a champion of animal rights. (AP Photo/Lee Jin-man)

hook

Instead of putting kids’ drawings on the fridge door and forgetting about them, one British designer had another idea. What if you took the power of children’s imaginations seriously and saw where that got you?

Well, now we know. It gets you a Pringles Hook. Which is just genius.

Towards the end of last year, artist, designer and inventor Dominic Wilcox returned to his home town to work with The Cultural Spring (a project which inspires people to get involved in the arts) in Sunderland and South Tyneside.

He asked over 450 children (and a few adults) to draw their own invention ideas. He then asked local makers and manufacturers to make a selection of them into real things.

There are picnics where you might treat yourself to a tube of Pringles. And then there are Pringle birthday picnics like this guy’s.

A man has shared pictures of the truly epic Pringles birthday picnic his wife and a friend treated him to recently and it is all your birthday dreams come true.

Chicago man and Imgur user theflippist explained: ‘A while ago I told my wife that someday I thought it would be amazing to have a picnic and have a whole bunch of cans of Pringles to choose from.

‘Sooo…for my birthday, my wife and a friend made the dream come… Read the full story

The special sauce has finally hit the UK, but it’ll cost you (Picture: McDonald’s)

For years, Big Mac fans have been trying to replicate the unique McDonald’s Big Mac special sauce at home – that addictive blend of relish, mustard, onion, garlic and other ‘secret’ ingredients (instant happiness tinged with the lingering taste of regret perhaps?)

Up until now, the official sauce has only been made available to buy in Australia – and only in limited edition runs, or via eBay charity auctions.

Until now.

For the first time ever in the UK, McDonald’s is giving you the chance to get your hands on its secret recipe sauce.

We’ll be honest. If you’re the type of person who goes to McDonald’s and orders a salad, we don’t understand you and we’re not sure if we can be friends.

You’re in McDonald’s. A place for burgers and fried, crispy joy. Save your salad for a healthy food bar or a sad, sad lunchtime in the office. Don’t ruin the magic of McDonald’s with health and superfoods.

But if that hasn’t convinced you to NEVER, EVER attempt to eat salad at Maccas, here’s another reason.

CBC News has found that a McDonald’s kale salad – which… Read the full story

Adulthood: Working all day on the internet so you can go home and waste time on the internet. (Picture: HBO)

Being an adult human is awful. Seriously. We wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. Try being a small child forever, if you like playing with lego. Or perhaps an adult cat, so you can sleep all day.

We’ve been sold this magical idea of adulthood as a time when you’re finally free to do whatever the heck you want and follow all your childhood dreams.

That is a lie. It’s crap.

And all because of one stupid thing: responsibilities. Ugh. The worst.

1. Seriously. Responsibilities are such… Read the full story

An illustrator is poking fun at the arguments meat-eaters have with vegans.

The Vegan Sidekick entertains his 90,000 Instagram followers with regular posts about the common contradictions and arguments that come with being a vegan.

They make many laugh out loud but Vegan Sidekick, real-name Richard, doesn’t take his work too lightly.

The irreverent British activist, 33, says: ‘I tend to describe them as comics that show why it is absurd to defend animal abuse, which is what you’re doing when you debate with a vegan.’

Andy’s story:

Two years ago I quit drinking alcohol. And I’ve never been happier.

My journey with alcohol all started when my career as a footballer was cut short by an injury at 23.

As a footballer, it was the usual Saturday/Sunday night post-match binge. I didn’t drink during the week, only after games. Compared to my friends in other jobs, I wasn’t drinking much.

But when football was taken away from me, everything changed. Until that point it had been my life. No longer being able to play football was world-changing.

It’s a safe haven for any girl needing advice from random drunk strangers, or if they just need a little cry before downing a few more shots.

And yes, we do make some remarkable friends in the girls loos – who we’ll most likely never meet again.

Here are 10 conversations you’ve most definitely been a part of when in the girls toilets on a night out.

Just in case you still needed to be told: don’t fall asleep at work. Or at least, don’t fall asleep on your second day in the job.

Mostly, because your boss probably won’t care for it. But, also because the internet won’t let you forget it.

On his second day of his internship at a tech startup, it all got too much for this Redditor, who goes by the name of TheOrangeDuke, and he dozed off in his chair.

His – let’s face it very understanding – colleagues decided to snap a picture with him slumbering in the foreground. When he awoke, he was so amused… Read the full story

When mum goes away, this dad and his baby son spend their time working on becoming Dubsmash masters.

When left to their own devices, Eric Bruce and his one-year-old baby son Jack like to record lip-syncing videos together, using the Dubsmash app, to send to mum Priscilla while she’s at work.

Eric recently shared a compilation of all their videos from 2015, which span a wide variety of genres, from Beyonce to Whitney Houston, from channelling Alan Rickman’s Snape, to voice overs for wildlife documentaries and Chick Fil-A ads, on YouTube.

Not only did it keep dad and son entertained, but the family now have a perfect digital record of Jack’s first year.

And, while dad’s doing most of the work, we all know who the real star is.

Here they are belting out a bit of Whitney.

So, the big news: Alexa Chung is teaming up with Marks & Spencer to launch a ultra fashion-y new collection based on pieces from the brand’s archives, fittingly called Archive by Alexa.

It’s made up of 31 pieces, will launch at some point in April 2016, and will give styles taken directly from M&S’s rich history a modern, Alexa-ish twist.

Aaand that’s about all we know at the moment. M&S is keeping things pretty hush hush – no images from the new collection, only three photos of Alexa doing her design process, and no in-depth information… Read the full story

A woman had to put up with her dad nicknaming her Princess Fiona from Shrek, and comparisons to the Hulk, after what she believes was a damaged can of tanning mousse turned her face temporarily green.

Twenty-seven-year-old Kirsty Reeves from West Bergholt, Colchester claims the St Tropez mousse turned her face ‘as green as the Incredible Hulk’ and left her too embarrassed to leave the house for three days.

The bottle of San Tropez dark tanning mousse came from her local Boots store in Tollgate, Stanway.

Look, we may not have actually dyed our hair any fun colours in the last three years, but that doesn’t mean we can’t get excited every time a new hair trend pops up on our radar.

We can dream, right? We can imagine we’re cool enough to pull off glitter roots and underlights, and that our workplace would be cool with the whole thing.

So this time around, the trend we’re pretending we’ll try is the rainbow fringe (or rainbow bangs, if you’re American). Cosmopolitan first picked up the trend when they noticed Amber… Read the full story
