According to an international study on menstruation, there are at least 5,000 different euphemisms and slang words for ‘period’ around the world.

The survey into how comfortable people are talking about periods was carried out by Clue in association with The International Women’s Health Coalition.

It canvassed opinion from 90,000 people across 190 different countries, and identified around 5,000 different terms for being on the blob.

The survey also investigated how much information girls were given at school about periods in different countries.

Ninety per cent of respondents in the UK said they felt they had received enough information before starting their period, vs. only 25 per cent in… Read the full story

This has got to be the worst Airbnb listing ever
(Picture: Airbnb)

If you’ve got minimal money to spend on a night away, you can’t expect to stay in a five star hotel.

But you’d probably expect at least some sort of essentials, right? A bathroom, a door… some walls, perhaps.

But apparently, these don’t seem to be necessities. Not going by this Airbnb listing, anyway.

The ‘room’ which has been advertised at just £8 per night, is located in Peckham.

Alexandra Andresen is 19-year-old professional dressage competitor from Norway.

But most recently, she’s been known to be the world’s youngest billionaire, according to Forbes 2016 World’s Rich List, in which she placed 1,475th, alongside her 20-year-old sister.

But Alexandra did not make her billions riding horses. She’s actually heiress to her father’s huge fortune, which was built within the tobacco market.

Her father, Johan F. Andresen, treated his daughters to 80 per cent of his shares in his investment firm, Ferd Holdings, after the company was sold for $500 million (more than £350 million) in 2005, and the money was invested into property and hedge funds.

Seaside
Oh we do like to be beside the seaside (Picture: Jack Hurley)

Despite what you might think, this Rubbish Seaside postcard series is actually one man’s love letter to the Great British seaside.

Described as an ode ‘to the thin drizzle of disappointment that is British coast,’ the postcards are a slightly more honest look at the average British staycation than you might get from the local tourist board.

Brutal, but brilliant, they are the work of 36-year-old designer Jack Hurley, who was born and raised, by his own admission ‘in a number of rubbish seaside towns on the south coast’.

He now lives in Leeds but his childhood memories of dank, cold days by the… Read the full story

Fear swimming when facing the dreaded time of the month? Well, fear no more.

Because one company have created a ‘period-proof’ swimsuit, to ensure you can continue smashing out those lengths with ease.

PantyProp have created bottoms that include a section for those who wear sanitary pads. The cut-out section ensures the pad does not move around, while also enabling you to wear it discretely by tucking the sanitary pad under the vulva therefore avoided those feelings of self-consciousness.

For those who choose to use tampons or menstrual cups, the bottoms can still be of help and extra security as they have absorbent lining to help prevent any visible stains or leaks.

They are currently available in two colours – black (£25) or a fluorescent floral theme (£26.50).

Noticing how sad he seemed, his girlfriend decided to treat him to a present – a dog, called Juji.

At first, it wasn’t the best present Christopher could’ve received, as he wasn’t especially fond of dogs. But, the adorable Goldendoodle completely won him over Juji soon ended up his best four-legged friend, before becoming his biggest inspiration.

A man has been exposed as a cheat by his wife after he turned up at her best friend’s house hoping to ‘tear a piece of a**’ off her.

Rather than the friend opening the door to the guy looking to get his end away, his wife opened it, while her best friend filmed his reaction.

In what then unfolds as a pretty sad tale of the state of their marriage, he says he ‘doesn’t give a f***’ that she’s caught him, because it will ‘get s*** rolling’.

Next, in the video that frankly should never have been filmed, she defends herself… Read the full story

If there’s one way to go out with a bang, this man’s done it.

By casually insulting most of the office without actually letting on who his harsh words were aimed at and making sure nobody contacts him again unless it’s to offer him money, this man is quite possibly most cold-hearted retired soul ever.

Or the funniest, we can’t decide.

In a picture posted to Imgur, the man in question’s son showed off the email to celebrate his dad’s retirement.

And it’s safe to say the whole of Reddit were highly amused.

One said: ‘This would be f***ing refreshing in my workplace. Can we ask your dad to work there for a day and then quit?’

But of course, there’s always one who has to put a downer on everything. Like this guy, who said: ‘My high school physics teacher died the weekend after his retirement party after teaching… Read the full story
