However, with people’s lives being increasingly busy, the cost of living being higher and career opportunities ever more available for women – an increasing amount of us are choosing to leave it later to have children.

Happy World Poetry Day!

Every March 21, the world comes together to celebrate poetry in all its glory.

There are no set rules for how to mark the occasion. You can read some poetry. You can perform it. You can write a poem. You can pop along and listen to someone read theirs.

All that matters is that you take a moment to appreciate the highly underrated form of poetry – which, sadly, is still thought of as an old-fashioned thing only literature students and artsy hipsters have an interest in.

The face you make when your alarm goes off at 5.45am

Let’s be honest…we all live for the weekends.

Weekends allow us to be our true selves. Our true selves being lazy individuals who sleep in until 11am, eat pancakes for dinner, and wear a onesie all day long.

But the weekday brings a whole heap of pain. We’re forced to wake up early, pretend that we like our colleagues, make small talk while making a tea, and quite frankly we’re sick of all these struggles.

We would really appreciate it if it was the weekend all the time.

Expert trolling little bro (Picture: EazyE973/Imgur)

This was such a schoolboy error.

As all siblings know, the sole reason you were put on this earth is to make your brother or sister’s life as difficult as possible – things like breaking into their diary and spreading the contents round school, ensuring they get the blame for anything you’ve done wrong, and messing with their favourite things, are pretty much standard.

So, this older brother really should have known better. Clearly, excitement got the better of him.

A vegan health and fitness vlogger has shared pictures of the horrific allergic reaction she had to henna hair dye, which left her eyes swollen shut for two days.

Chemese Armstrong, 35, from Texas, decided to turn to henna, often used as a natural, plant-based dye, after experiencing an allergic reaction to a common component in hair dye called Paraphenylenediamine (PPD) in 2014.

Remembering that her dermatologist had suggested henna as an alternative to chemical and commercial dyes, she found a salon in Austin which offered henna hair… Read the full story

Okay, we get it. Mums like to capture every moment of their child’s life.

Especially when it comes to events like their first steps, their first day at school, and of course, the dreaded sports day.

But one high schooler will be left forever scarred when the family video tapes are pulled out on special occasions and family get-togethers – due to a tumble she took when setting off for her running race.

Standing on her tip-toes to prepare for the race, she fell to the ground as other participants set off. She picked herself up to carry on with the race, but just as you think she’s got it together, things go from bad to worse.

You know when you just want to relax for a Netflix binge and your mum comes in and gives you a list of chores to do instead?

Yeah, annoying, right?

So imagine how this sloth feels when some rude guy keeps trying to pull him away from the pole he’s relaxing on. There’s just no need.

While we don’t actually know who the man in this video is, or why exactly he’s pulling the sloth away, we’re guessing it’s probably for the sloth’s own good.

But that doesn’t stop it being any less funny/slightly mean when all the sloth wants to do is chill.

Reddit user HackerMcCracker shared the video so that we could all be equally pissed off at this guy.

An entrepreneur is collecting hundreds of sanitary products for homeless UK women.

Binti, a new social enterprise, aims to ‘promote menstrual dignity’ for British women as sleeping rough numbers rise.

Their help will come as good news to the women forced to use newspapers, old socks and handkerchiefs in place of proper sanitary products.

Volunteers from the Darlington Salvation Army food bank revealed yesterday that women simply cannot afford them and are too embarrassed to ask for help.

Isn’t it nice when you get on with your colleagues so much that they actually go to the trouble of getting you a leaving present once you finally flee the nest?

These work mates must have been seriously fond of their colleague, as they went to the trouble of making him an incredibly detailed cake.

And from what we can gather from the cleverly iced cake, their soon to be newly-employed friend, Jake, is some sort of computer programmer, working in coding.

They managed to get phrases such as ‘Miss you’, ‘Sad’ and ‘Good luck’ all in code form, before subtly telling him to come back if his new job doesn’t work out.

How sweet.

These really are the type of colleagues you need to get through a long day of work.
