Most people try their best to keep it PG around kids, but sometimes a curse slips out and your child will inevitably repeat it.

For this dad though, who goes by ‘StuuuCopywriter‘ on Twitter, it was a totally different story.

His daughter was cussing all by herself. The poor dad was just trying to teach her the word ‘skunk’ while reading her a story, but she just couldn’t seem to get the hang of it.

He uploaded a video of his daughter’s accidentally offensive language to Twitter along with the caption: ‘Hey. Want to see my cute 2yo attempt to say a perfectly… Read the full story

A dad who took his son on a last-minute holiday during term time, responded to the school’s text about his whereabouts with a picture of him in front of Dubai’s Burj Al Arab.

Simon Morgan, 43, and his wife Claire, who run a travel company, took their son James, 15, out of school on March 3 for two days of term, to go on a last-minute break to Dubai. They say they didn’t have time to inform the school.

When the Stanwell School in Penarth, South Wales, messaged to find out why James wasn’t in class, Simon decided to… Read the full story

Eric Thomas is a speaker travelling around the US sharing, with brutal honesty, the struggles of being homeless, of growing up without his biological father and the crime that often surrounds it.

But in this video (around 3.35 in), he reacts strongly to being joked about and talked over during his speech. It’s incredibly powerful and such a strong message that his voice starts cracking as the volume is raised, both in content and in volume.

Opening up about a troubled childhood filled with lack of opportunity, he speaks out about the crime that takes place in urban high-schools and how he was forced to fight himself out of situations even though he was against it.

Eric proudly explained his fight to give him a proper education after he, his dad and grandfather all became college dropouts.

Unless it’s to celebrate your text-door-neighbour, texting the wrong number can go terribly wrong.

Like this guy, who got deep into a conversation with a girl he fancied before realising he had been totally duped by a stranger.

Or this one, who sent a text about her, ahem, ‘juicy vagina’ to the wrong person.

*Dies*.

But this story actually has a happy ending.

A family who messaged one another via group chat with updates on their friend’s labour accidentally added a wrong number into the conversation.

The random stranger, after hearing about a vagina dilated to 6cm did not run for the hills.

Instead, he told the group ‘congrats’ – and stuck around to hear the end of the story.

And after seeing a cute pic of the new mum and her baby, the stranger just couldn’t resist a hospital visit. After all, he’d been made to feel like one of the family.

Do you remember Mikhail Vershavski, the dreamiest doctor alive? Of course you do. How on earth could you forget a face like that?

He’s the guy that had the internet swooning. And for good reason, too. Finally, an incredibly gorgeous guy with a fairly normal job.

But that wasn’t all we loved about him. His down-to-earth nature was endearing, and his passion for saving the lives of animals was enough to make your heart pound. We’re literally drooling just reminiscing over him again. Sigh.

The then-single doctor even went all out and put his looks to good use by auctioning off a date with him, in order to give the funds raised to charity.

Yep, he really is the whole package.

But sadly, only one girl is allowed to open that nowadays. Yes, sorry girls. It turns out everybody’s ‘Mr Right’ is now taken. And yes. We are all seriously… Read the full story

Honestly, what better way to say ‘screw you’ than in bright colours?… Read the full story

Today is World Water Day.

While we concern ourselves trying to remember our eight glasses, could you imagine waking up and finding that you don’t have access to clean and safe drinking water?

Or how about knowing that every time you drink water there’s a chance that it may make you seriously unwell?

Fortunately not many of us have experienced this but, according to the UN, 783 million people around the world still lack access to clean water, and millions who work in water related industries do not have their rights protected.

What is it?

World Water Day is part of a global mission to get safer water for all.

They can quite literally show the tracks of your tears.

Twitter user Koby Soto recently shared the exact moment his partner dumped him, using a screengrab of his heart rate during the day – it peaked at an all time high when he got the call to tell him it was over.

And then there was the husband who learnt his wife was pregnant by analysing her Fitbit data (yes, we’re slightly freaked out too).

I am a mother-of-two, I have lactated and I write about parenting for a living. Yet, I am a little bit scared to talk about breastfeeding.

Because whatever you say will be wrong, according to someone and patronising according to someone else…others may claim you are anti-feminist, anti-formula or just plain evil. Basically, say anything at all about feeding babies and people will be mean to you.

So whatever your thoughts about Jamie Oliver and his recent comments on the subject – you have to admit he is pretty stupid brave to even go there. He is now experiencing an almighty backlash from women who have perceived his statements as being critical of their… Read the full story

tV in your head

It’s not that we don’t want to read the classics like War and Peace, Ulysses and Moby Dick, it’s just that we don’t always have time for that.

Also Netflix.

So, Canadian cartoonist John Atkinson has drawn extremely abridged versions of classic novels – for the time-poor Twitter generation (warning: spoilers ahead).

He’s somehow managed to condense one-thousand page tome War and Peace and James Joyce’s stream of consciousness in Ulysses into funny, tongue-in-cheek illustrations.
