Meet the Sisters of the Valley. They’re nuns. They’re feminists. And they grow weed.

Sister Kate and Sister Darcy work in California’s Merced, growing marijuana for their line of organic medicinal remedies they sell online.

Their products treat everything from back pain to hangovers, and each jar or bottle bought is given a prayer before its shipped to those in need.

The Sisters are not what you’d call traditional nuns. They’re not Catholic, subscribing only to a general spirituality and a desire to help anyone in pain.

Is it time to break up? (Picture: Getty)

Knowing if you should break up with your other half can be a tough decision to make. Will the grass be greener, is their behaviour really enough to warrant calling time on the relationship, does it matter that your eyes wander sometimes?

Here are 13 signs that it’s definitely time to break up.

1. You’re in a relationship because it feels ‘safe’

If you’re into the idea of being in a relationship more than being with the other person, that’s a strong indication you shouldn’t be in it. Going it alone again can be scary but will be a lot more fun than staying safe.

2. You have an ‘elastic band’… Read the full story

Finally, science has confirmed what we all know to be true: our parents are playing favourites and NOTHING IS FAIR.

It doesn’t matter how many times our mums fiercely proclaim that they love ALL their kids EQUALLY. We know the truth. We know our brother always got the biggest slice of cake. We know for a FACT that we were grounded for stuff he got away with three years ago.

And now science has backed us up.

British literacy in the young in under threat – the closure of libraries across the UK is just the latest blow.

One in five primary school children struggle to achieve the national standard in language and literacy skills by the time they get to secondary school, according to the latest statistics.

For some of us though, that wasn’t the case. Forget about playing Stuck In The Mud – it was the adventures offered by books that took up most of our free time.

But can you describe yourself as a bookworm? Did you actually read voraciously, or just enough to get you through your Key Stage 2?

Kylie Jenner has got the whole matte lipstick thing down. Every single shade she releases sells out in minutes. She’s covered enough dark, bold, and neutral colours for every occasion.

So it’s time to change things up. Enter: Kylie glosses. Yep, lipglosses. No more matte.

Kylie announced the launch of her new glosses in extreme Kylie Jenner fashion: with a full-on music video/ad.

It’s a bit weird, though, because – considering it’s a lipgloss promo – there are hardly any lipgloss sightings.

It’s mostly just Kylie and her friends robbing some dudes and looking pretty.

Judging by the number of emails landing in our in-boxes marked ’embargoed till April 1′, brands have been very busy in the lead up to April Fools’ Day.

From vibrating tampons to drones that will paint your whole room in seconds, to Big Ben striking Pimms O’Clock, they really have thought of everything. Seriously. Everything.

While some are a little lame – Professor Green Tea anyone? – we do genuinely want a Mystic Smeg fridge (although £5k is a bit steep).

Here’s our round up of the silliest (and some actually quite sane) April Fools’ ideas from your favourite brands.

How many did you spot?

hungry

Your stomach is a bottomless pit, which actually never gets full.

No matter what time of day, or even if you’ve just stuffed yourself to the point where your tummy may explode you could always go for another cheeky treat.

Buffets are your playground, and you have developed a slight back pain issue from always carrying around a bag with a lot of food in it.

Basically food is your first love, and nothing could replace this.

1. Never ending saga

You could have a cheese sandwich, two packs of crisps, a slice of lasagne, a plate of mac and cheese, a scoop of mash and a jug of gravy all in one sitting, and you would still be a little hungry.

You don’t know where the food goes, but you’re pretty sure that it evaporates the moment it enters your mouth.

2. You cause amazement

Your food eating abilities are the stuff of legend amongst friends and family. Not even your… Read the full story

Right, off to the supermarket. *Checks list*. So, we need milk, butter, Nutella and, um.

Last week, San Francisco woman Anne Broshar shared a picture of her brother and his wife’s shopping list after their six-year-old son had added a few of his own ‘essentials’ on the end.

‘My brother & his wife left a shopping list unattended, their 6-year-old son got to it, and …’ she wrote.

In case you’re wondering where the boy’s addendum starts (we know, tricky), it’s about halfway down and it reads: ‘Butts, butt, butt,’ and so on.

This changes everything we know about period sex.

No longer will we have to cautiously place a towel on the bed before we get on with having sex while we’re on our period. Never again will we have to do that awkward ‘oh, one sec’ trip to stand by a bin and gently pull a string.

Because soon, we’ll be able to buy tampons that we can wear during sex.

Flex tampons are flexible, disc-like tampons that ‘contour to the female body’, meaning they absorb period blood but won’t get in the way when you’re getting it on.

If you had the chance to meet your high-school crush after spending years apart, what would you say?

Would you tell them how you’d secretly watch them and daydream about spending the rest of your lives together while in class?

Or would you ignore them completely, making it abruptly clear you’re so over them.

One Redditor who was curious about the same situation, asked the question: ‘Redditors who have met a former crush years later, how did it turn out?‘ and an influx of stories came in – some rather romantic, some rather sad.

One told of how they’re now in a serious relationship, using the power of social media:

He hit me up on Instagram to tell me that we should catch up sometime and that he’d had a crush on me back in high school. I decided what the hell, let’s meet up and see where this goes, and we totally hit it… Read the full story

Simplifying your life (Picture: Mark Zuckerberg x H&M)

Why didn’t we think of this?

Some genius decided to announce the launch of a capsule Mark Zuckerberg collection for H&M this April Fools’ Day and they really went the extra mile.

They created a website, a convincing back-story, and on brand marketing for the launch, which looked uncannily like the usual designer collaborations that cause chaos and queues every autumn at H&Ms across the world.

The concept is all based around the Facebook founder’s very minimal wardrobe of grey T-shirts and dark jeans.

Okay, we get it. Everyone on Instagram is obsessed with avocados.

They mash them into smoothies. They turn them into ice cream. And most of all, they smush them up and put them on toast, topped with chilli flakes for that snazzy colour contrast.

And yes, those photos are perfectly nice. Your avocado toast looks fine. Nice plate.

But there is no way your avo Instagrams compare to this woman’s.

Colette Dike, also known as Food Deco, has taken the humble art of snapping photos of avocado to a whole new level.

Seriously. Look at this.

Beans on toast: more than just your go-to comforting hangover cure.

A new study by The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition says that if you’re trying to lose weight, you should definitely add beans to the menu.

Apparently, simply adding a serving of beans to your daily diet can help you lose  weight – even if you do nothing else to alter your diet.

Researchers analysed 21 previous clinical trials involving 940 adults. The participants had a single serving of pulses – meaning dried seeds of legumes, such as beans, chickpeas, lentils, and peas – added to their diet, and didn’t make efforts to restrict or reduce their other food intake.

There’s no doubt we were all prepared for April Fools’ Day.

Seeing as we’re past 12pm, the pranking should’ve come to and end. Which now gives us the rest of the day to laugh at those who fell for them.

Like these two poor kids, who got pranked pretty hard by their own dad.

And people say you’re supposed to trust your parents. We’ll never believe those lies again.

Comedian Joe Heenan posted a photo of his two children looking remarkably glum as they held an empty box… that was supposed to contain an iPad.

The home of the Great British staycation, the ultimate kitsch seaside resort, is celebrating its 80th birthday.

The quintessential British holiday destination – designed for fun whatever the weather – was founded by Billy Butlin in Skegness in 1936 and enters its eighth decade this month.

To celebrate, they’ve released a selection of gloriously nostalgic shots of British holidaymakers cutting loose during their summer staycation, along with a selection of postcards from the early 1960s which were sold to vacationers keen to show… Read the full story
