Sexist? (Picture: Getty)

There are few fresh hells worse than shopping for school shoes.

Having done it from the adult end (as a nanny) and the child end (as a latter day Verruca Salt)  I can attest that it is no fun for anyone involved. As a child you probably want something pretty, fashionable and impressive that will make the rest of your year think you’re far cooler than you actually are.

Men are more likely to experience work-related mental health issues, says new report

As a parent you want something sturdy, hard-wearing and supportive to your child’s feet.

Drinking tea and wine might help to battle flu symptoms, new research suggests

But generally, society is only keen a specific type of arse – the juicy Kim K kind. Bums that are a bit flat/lumpy/boney don’t get a look in.

Which is why two Montreal-based artists are on a mission to highlight the beauty of arses.

Photographer Emilie Mercier and best friend and artistic director, Frédérique Marseille, have set up ‘1001 Fesses‘ or 1001 Bums as a ‘visual poem’ of bottoms of ‘all ages,… Read the full story

Having a brother is the BEST.

People who only have a same-sex sibling, or no siblings at all, are seriously missing out.

13 thoughts you have at your younger sibling’s wedding

Maybe I’m just lucky, but the relationship I have with my younger brother is great – he makes me laugh more than anyone else, and our phone conversations are gloriously weird.

We fought growing up, as all kids do, but never too much, and we keep in touch without our parents having to force us to (although he is better at that than I am).

This is why the brother/sister bond is particularly great.

It’s fun, bright, cheerful and silly. Just like really good sex can be.
