Thank you to all of the partners of people living with OCD.

People don’t realise how hard OCD can be to live with. It can be exhausting, draining, debilitating. It can leave you just wishing the day would end already to get away from your own thoughts.

It’s not a case of organising your sock drawer or arranging your kitchen cupboards. It’s intrusive thoughts. Constant checking in fear something bad is going to happen. Washing over and over again, scared of contamination. It’s excessive worry. Obsessive thoughts. Unavoidable compulsions. It’s isolating, and even more so when you’re surrounded by people who don’t understand.

If you’re struggling to think of an appropriate present for your girlfriend or wife, then help is at hand.

Because someone’s come up with the ideal gift for any long distance lover.

The Wobbling Willy is a dildo which allows your lady friend to stick a head on the end, so she can stare lovingly into your plastic face while she jerks off.

On one end is a 100% silicone-sculpted penis and on the other is a hand-sculpted polymer clay model of you.

Imagine!

You just send a photo of yourself or your desired subject to Wobbling Willy and they’ll turn pics into dildo-sized 3D sculptures before mailing them out to you/your girlfriend/whoever.

A new makeup line for LGBTQ and Trans customers will launch at the end of the month.

Catering specifically to the LGBTQ and Trans community, JECCA is catering to an audience usually overlooked by the mainstream beauty industry.

Make-up artist founder Jessica Blackler tells Metro.co.uk that JECCA came about after she worked in film and TV make-up.

‘I received requests from trans women who were looking for makeup lessons. I decided to specialise in Trans women,’ she says.

The 21-year-old from Wales has worked with clients in her home and her most popular makeover offered is the three-hour makeup lesson that helps clients understand products and application.

She says the trans and LGBTQ+ communities face specific issues so wanted to create a range that addresses these. Her products are specially formulated to combat and conceal problem areas such as beard shadow and scarring.

‘A lot of the LGBTQ+… Read the full story

There’s never enough cheese on pizza.

You might get a stuffed crust but even that doesn’t hit the spot – particularly when you can see patches of tomato sauce lurking in the pizza centre.

And Pizza Hut obviously know this.

Because they’ve just launched, for a limited time only, the Ultimate Cheese Crust Pizza.

That’s a pizza with not just one but 16 POCKETS OF CHEESE instead of the usual boring crust.

Each pocket is overflowing with a five cheese blend of mozzarella, provolone, white cheddar, asiago and fontina.

‘The holiday season is for catching up with loved ones,’ says Zipporah Allen, vice president of brand marketing and consumer insights… Read the full story

Are you slowly approaching your 27th birthday? Do you feel like everything is spinning out of control? Have you lost all sense of life direction?

If so then you, my friend, are in the midst of a quarter-life crisis.

According to a study by LinkedIn, 72% of young professionals in the UK have experienced a crisis at 26.9 years old, which has left them reevaluating their career path and life choices.

So if you thought you were over the hump at 25, think again.

It’s thought that this mental collision is mainly down to worries that we’re not in a profession that we’re passionate about (57%), stress about getting onto the property… Read the full story

People who hook up at the office Christmas party are pretty likely to enter into long term relationships

Getting with someone at the office Christmas party is a massive cliche.

Sometimes it happens after a year-long campaign to get the bloke in the canteen to notice you. Sometimes, you’ve literally never seen them before until they whisper something drunkenly inappropriate in your ear while the CEO gives his annual speech.

Either way, almost half of office workers end up getting entangled in some kind of romantic situation at their festive knees up.

And incredibly, 53% of those who do get together end up being in long-term relationships. And according to a survey of 2,000 workers by Instantpint, a third of those are actually still together a year on.

Now that might sound bonkers but think… Read the full story

You can now study Mandarin Chinese on Duolingo

Mandarin is probably one of the most useful languages you could learn.

But it’s also bloody difficult.

Sure, plenty of schools are starting the teach it as an alternative to French, German and Spanish, but kids have a better ability to pick languages up. And they have an actual teacher.

Trying to learn such a different language on your own is nigh-on impossible.

Until now.

Because free language-learning app Duolingo is now offering Mandarin Chinese. And already over 5,000 people are signed up to the course.

‘I wish we could have sleeping pods at work, for when we need a 15 minute break.’

‘Quads? Why would we have quads in work? What for?’

‘No, I said PODS… sleeping PODS.’

‘Oh.’

This is a recurring theme in the conversations I have with friend and work colleague, Coral Barry, one of Metro.co.uk’s sports reporters.

What do you do with someone who seems to have trouble hearing you?

You send them for an ear wax extraction, of course.

Every family portrait (Picture: Getty)

If you watch any festive film, you could be forgiven for thinking that yours is the only dysfunctional family.

Everyone else has fridges full of treats, a massive tree sheltering a million neatly wrapped gifts and matching Chrimbo jumpers.

You, however, are drunk for the majority of the Christmas season and have almost daily rows with your partner.

Why? You love them, they love you. Christmas is supposed to be the season of goodwill, after all.

So why do you end up threatening to burn any present you’ve bought for them?

According to a study published in the journal Family Relationships, a lot of festive tension comes from worries about money.

Cambridge is being blessed with a hot gin pop-up bar this Christmas

Hot gin cocktails from Varsity Hotel & Spa, Cambridge
The gin cocktails on offer (Picture: Varsity Hotel & Spa)

A refreshing gin and tonic probably reminds you of the height of summer.

Perhaps drinking them out of a handcrafted glass on your patio, sipping them out of plastic tumblers at the tennis, or in my case – slobbering over a pre-mixed tin in the park.

What gin doesn’t necessarily remind me of though, is winter, but that’s all about to change thanks to a hot gin pop-up bar.

The bar will serve hot gin-based cocktails and will be appearing in December for one evening only, at a panoramic rooftop bar in Cambridge.… Read the full story

This is not THE wedding photographer, fear not (Picture: Getty)

Weddings are usually a great chance to stock up on some bangin’ new pics of yourself.

Usually, wedding photographers will make sure they get everyone’s best angles, whether they’re the bride, the groom’s mum, or that long lost relative that they felt obliged to invite.

The pics are normally so good that if the subject is a single pringle, they’ll upload them straight to Tinder.

Normally. Sadly, not in the case of Mike Tague who got a bit of a surprise when he got the photos through from his pal’s wedding.

One animal shelter has come up with a brilliant initiative to getting their pup-residents adopted – by sorting them into houses, a la Harry Potter.

Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando has introduced ‘Pawgwarts’ to their shelter, with their highly trained staff sorting the dogs into houses.

The shelter feels it’s a ‘fun way of presenting’ their available dogs – while also encouraging those interested to look further into the pups’ personalities, as opposed to their cuteness.

Cadbury-lovers, rejoice: Double Decker spread is here and we’re so ready to pull out our spoons and dig in.

We’ve seen Crunchie spread, Caramel spread and of course, the beloved Dairy Milk spread – but now Cadbury has taken things one step further by turning one of our favourite chocolate bars into a jar of spreadable goodness.

The Double Decker spread was first discovered by NewFoodsUK, an Instagram account dedicated to discovering all the newest sweet treats and debuting them to their 4,500 followers.

The Double Decker spread is inspired by the ingredients used in the actual chocolate bar and consists of a milk chocolate spread with nougat flavouring and crunchy… Read the full story

What it’s like to be a Muslim at Christmas?

Muslims are damned if they celebrate Christmas and damned if they don’t.

Just take the furor surrounding the recent Tesco Christmas advert which featured a Muslim family holding Christmas gifts. Shoppers later threatened to boycott the store but it’s a thin line – if Muslims don’t join in the celebrations as it’s a Christian holiday, they’re accused of being poorly integrated.

Christmas for me has been like any other vacation day: eating the contents of your fridge ’til you can’t move and binge-watching TV. But while I don’t personally celebrate Christmas, that’s not to say others don’t.

With that in mind, I spoke to a few Muslims about what… Read the full story

There’s an app which shows you what someone looks like without their make-up on

One of the least appealing sentiments a man can express is one which implies that make-up is false advertising.

‘This is why you take them swimming on the first date’ is exactly the sort of sentiment that means you probably shouldn’t be dating full stop, lest you reproduce and further poison the world around you.

I digress.

Saying that a woman wearing make-up is false advertising is complete trash, and as the old adage goes, any man who’s stupid enough to believe that a woman has naturally gold eye-lids has bigger problems than make-up.

But, despite the fact that make-up is not made to trick men etc etc etc, someone (spoiler:… Read the full story

Just in time for Christmas, you can now get your mitts on a Stranger Things themed Monopoly.

The game has forts, hide-outs and other important Hawkins locations from the show instead of houses and hotels. The counters, traditionally a boot, a hat, a car, a dog, an iron have been replaced by Stranger Things specific tokens.

The ‘Community Chest’ and ‘Chance’ cards have been swapped out for ‘Walkie-Talkie’ and ‘Blinking lights’.

You, when someone tries to screw you over in Monopoly.

It’s currently only available in America, but if you’re happy to pay the shipping then it can be yours in the UK, though… Read the full story
